kmart?

You have Kmarts there, too? Geesh - the whole world is infected! :O

Chain stores

Oh, yeah, and Target.

But we don't have Walmart! Boy, are we missing out! ;)

Trust me, Australia is just like the US, only with everything (except the landscape ;)) on a smaller scale!!!! Sometimes, on muggy days here, it takes me back to my trip to LA - it's very much like California here where I live.

Morning Folks,

Don't feel good about myself or the world this morning. This is not meant as a moan though it doubtless sounds like one. What I've learnt in the other 12 step fellowships I've been in is to keep taking the actions whatever I feel so here is today's list.

Up prayer and reflection
bath and wash hair
deal with emails
deal with post
post this list
email landlords re repairs
email friend who I've had a disagreement with
go into town
pray and think in church building
work on voluntary project including music afterwards
do something on craft project
do something on legal/admin work that I've been neglecting
write journal
prayer and reflection
bed and sleep

Thats it and my committment for today.

Regards Rexroth

Rexroth 22.10 BST

I've done nothing on my legal/admin project and next to nowt on my craft project and I couldn't do the music because it wasn't on. Otherwise I've done everything and it's now early and I'm going to bed and to sleep.

Night night Rexroth

Hi all.

Already monday  .
Couldn't work over the week-end as we had to be off the
building, so when went out couldn't get back in... Had a
forced break and felt bad all the week-end about the work. So
work on some stuff I had to do at home - it was a change but
now I am feeling that I need to get as much done this week.
Also I am on the road thursday till monday. So that leaves me a
short timespan : monday, tuesday and wednesday only till a week on tuesday and few hours grabbed on thursday, friday and monday.

Reading your comments :
- work in one go and then procrastinate
for long period.
... Seems true to me as I procrastinated
for a long period and now playing catch up. I am thinking
to catch up and then I will be able to breath and get some
breaks.

- inefficient way of working: I think there is a lot of
truth there. But how can I improve my way of working
when I am crawling under 'URGENT' backlogs, if not by
putting in as much time as possible to get things under
control?

The truth is : I have procrastinated sooo much and can't hide
now I have to get the work done. It is true I didn't start things properly.

But I did as I could. Now I am getting better organised and starting to want to deal with my procrastination as I simply want to move ahead. I am tired of being stuck because of these backlogs. I imagine a life of 'easy work days' where I do not need to flog myself like
that, but the work still get done... May be my case is desperate.

May be I'll try to use 30 minutes/day to see how I can make things easier for myself but still get things done.

So today back to website1. May be I'll manage to do website2 as well and who nows this report as well ( one part to finish and
200 pages to correct).

***************** DONE *********************

************* To DO **************************

- part18
- load and check online website1 translation
( the characters can sometimes look funny)
- website2
- report
- wrap kid's present ( bought present last week)
- do some reading ( 3 chapters)
- tidy at home ( did a lot of mess over the week-end) :
visitor coming on wednesday so it need to be spotlessly clean for then
- fill and get supporting docs and send form for course
- start the accounts ( need to get a grip on my finances and my tax returns)
- check on web and eventually phone admin to get forms and list of needed documents
- gather docs and go through them quickly for website2 and 4 ( just to get a first feel)
- gather docs and go through them quickly for hobby site 5 ( just to get a first feel)
- list and search equipments needed so that can look to buy these on friday, saturday or next monday.
- phone tenants 3 times/day as I am going there on friday.

we're all just like you

Your case isn't any worse than anyone else's here. I can totally relate to what you are describing about your work habits. Mine have been the same. And I know what you mean about having everything be so URGENT. It's a bit of a catch 22. I think the solution is to work a lot, but still give yourself some time off occasionally or you won't be able to sustain it. Then for future tasks, try to develop better habits.

Achieved:
- up
- kids breakfast (one kid, the other isn't hungry yet and she's helping to unpack the dishwasher for me now!)
- made bed
- unpacked dishwasher
- dressed one kid while I was halfway through posting this
- rest of morning routine (dress, hair, makeup, breaky, swish'n'swipe, check calendar, dress kids, do DD's hair, load of washing on)
- put the ironing away that I did last night
- went to the post office and buy supplies
- went to KMart and buy art smocks for the kids & some new textas, and to the supermarket for some milk & eggs

- weekly plan & review
Evening

hi Milo

Sounds like you're off to a good start.

I just read something very disturbing that has me off balance. :(

Oh, dear..

Not something I wrote, I hope??!!!

Are you okay? Oh, it's after 11 for you now, you probably won't get this till you get up.

Hope you're alright :)

a book

No, nothing I read here - a book!

I'm okay - a little disoriented (just got up).
