todayfirst 12:20 PM

Was so busy this AM I didn't even check in, whereas, yesterday afternoon I didn't check in because I was procrastinating and not wanting to face it. I did get a good bit of programming done in the AM yesterday and fixed one leak in the plumbing last night. Just one little leak to go and we have a fully functional kitchen (though not quite done)!

Things I chose to do so far today:
- Work out
- Source control task #1 & 2
- Meeting #1
- Meet hardware service technician
- Call about project I'm inheriting
- Call about new report (left a message)

Things I would still like to do:
- Programming (2 hrs)
- Meeting #2
- Meeting #3
- Fix leak (tonight)

Don't falter now

You're ready to tuck into business. Even if you do the less important stuff and stop for lunch, after that there's nothing to do but FACE THE BACK ACCOUNTING! (Gulp!) You might try Normy's technique from awhile back of using the timer and alternating the frog and something fun. Or, heck, once you're going at it, why not let yourself hyperfocus--but maybe set the timer so it's only for 2 hours at a time? That way at least you'll still go to the loo, drink fluids, move your body, etc., and the time-binge won't be detrimental to your health! Whatever you choose to do, I wish you the best of luck with it all. I have to be firm with myself today, too. Check in with each other in a few hours?

getting started

The hardest part for me is getting started. Once I get started I'll just keep going.

Do you have more to do with your taxes, or is that all taken care of?

More tax dreads

It's ongoing. And I have been procrastinating about getting back to the CPA. I started procrastinating when she called two weeks ago to ask whether we filed the actual return or just the extension for 2005. I wasn't sure at first, but when she said, "And did you pay the full $6000 with that?" then I knew we had not ever filed the actual return. It was so depressiing to think about owing $6000 for just ONE year that I sort of shut down. But I also had to wait for these letters from the IRS which are copies of what they have actually received from us over the last 7 years. They've been sitting there a week now, though. So today is the day I start facing it again.

I have to run downstairs and give something to the dry cleaner, then I'll finish my morning routine.

It's a bother to me that there are people on the roof just outside my window, and I have to keep the curtains closed if I don't want to be on display.

Rexroth 13.49 BST

Woke only just after 7.00 this morning after having got to bed by 11 last night.

Up prayer reflection
out to get hair cut*
get photocopy
visit city farm for info on volunteering
visit ecology centre for similar info
bath and wash hair (resist urge to wash bathroom floor)

And now after lunch

send payment for goods on approval that I had forgotton to pay for
look at craft project and think what to do
put jacket into soak
put white washing on
go out to evening class
journal
prayer reflection
bed sleep

* I hate getting my hair cut and do it every few months. I really need and want to get it done more often so I look less scruffy. I would like to look less scruffy.

onwards and upwards Rexroth

Rexroth 22.18 BST

I'm up to journal on my list and in addition I've dried the white towel in the dryer and unloaded the rest and hung them up. I've also washed up and a few other bits. I'm off for a dental check up and hygienist tomorrow. If I get back I will post again... Now 'must' (would like to and it would serve me) get to bed before 11.00. I've plently of time if I actually do it.

Night night Rexroth

pro's first check-in - 8:15am

Let's see... Yup... I can't think of anything I need to put in front of my back accounting today. Too bad. }:)

Excellent!

And I'll be back in about 10 hours to check that you have done some!!!!!!!!

Uh oh... I mean, good!

Yes, please do check up on me. I'll procrastinate on this forever, if left to my own devices. I can use the push.

Take care

Early morning coughing sounds like bronchitis hasn't quite left. Take care and take it easy.
