fudoshin: day 95

Please do not leave advice.  Thank you.  Prayers welcome.

This is the 95th day that I have followed through with the following:

  • 90 days away from dating sites and facebook
  • 90 days of not stalking people's profiles of people I've tried to date in the past
  • 90 days of not stalking people online that I've tried to date in
the past. (I am now back on day 58 for this).
  • No Internet chat, aside from employment or twelve-step.  This
includes not stalking people on AIM or other chat networks, whom I've
tried to date in the past. (I'm on day 23 of this.)
  • 56 days of exercise (I'm on day 2 of this).

Rexroth Check In

It is late evening and I forgot to check in this morning.

Done:
Prayer and reflection
Walked to chuch - it has been very hard for me to get to chuch recently and I don't know why as I love the services and feel good afterwards - anyway I went and I am grateful
Talked with a missionary and was invited out to see his work in a remote part of Africa - there is a serious prospect that I shall go
Did a load of food shopping for some baking I intend to do
Relaxed over the afternoon - it is very hot for London
Tried to fix the water heater in the bathroom - didn't succeed so its washing in a bucket until at least Tuesday which won't be the first time in my life
Checked emails
Researched travel

Todo:
Look at future plans which are getting well advanced
Prayer and reflection
Bed and sleep

Regards Rexroth

I meant to do my work today
But a brown bird sang in an apple tree,
And a butterfly flitted across the field,
And all the leaves were calling me.

  —Richard LeGallienne

The harried hen scurried about her house, trying to put it in order. Some
friends she hadn't seen for years were due to arrive later that day, and
she wanted everything perfect for them. In a flurry, she made the bed,
put away the dishes, and scrubbed the floor. Oh dear, she thought in
dismay, I meant to wash the sheets today. Frantically, she flew back to
the bedroom and tore the sheets from the made bed.

Just then, a neighbor arrived and stood at hen's door, watching her
anxiously rush about. "Dear hen," he said in a patient loving tone, for
he was quite fond of her, "You will never enjoy your visit if you
continue to race about. Come. Sit and rest and tell me of these friends.
Have you any snapshots?" The hen did as her neighbor had suggested, and
soon her friends arrived to find her relaxed, refreshed, and warm with
the memories of them.

What is my real work for the day?

Have a great day everyone! Warm regards,

tracy-la

Having a terrible time getting started this morning. I always have so much trouble working during holy week, b/c of church services breaking up my work time.  (I enjoy it, just am super unproductive)

OK, for today I need to:
*Mentor rotation student (whenever she shows up...)
*Finish lit. search
*Do PCR/gel
*Come up with a schedule for next week

hope4meandu day 14 here; day 19 at work

Thanks moving along!!! excellent starter!!!

The next record of showing up to work to beat is 75 days, when I first started lasting until the beginning of December. Gives me something to work towards!!!

Need to be long-winded about job possibility. It's working with troubled teens, which can be right up my alley, but I fear it will take away my need to work with 4-leggeds. I don't know what my HP's will for me is, and I'm confused to see what is the right step to take. I kind of don't want to leave here and start over again. I also feel I need to stay here and help these dudes, even though one of them I'd prefer not to. Working with people, I feel, might be easier on my Yoffee, which should come first. Working with animals feeds me & brings me peace & satisfaction I haven't often felt in my 20 years of working in offices. I don't want to lead these people on & would prefer to let him know today if I'm no longer in the market.

Think I really have my answer to the above work situation. There is a conference in July in Washington called Taking Action for Animals 2011 and I'm going to do my best to attend. I feel compelled. Now I have to make the call to that prospective employer. UGH!!

To do:
-food shop
-put check in bank
-spending chart
-call Dr. Z can he get Yoffee tussigon
-cancel Goldie's drs. appt.
-get cat food
-email J about chorus
-clean bathroom
-schedule Brian to come in May
-call CF, what time tomorrow & EP what time Sunday night

Wishing you a day full of miracles!!
