Kdzee Good morning, Today
KdzeeGood morning, Today is a new day, and I get a fresh start.....Finding a way check in
10.30 am Monday
Thank you for recycling the beautiful starter, chickadee.
I have had what I hope is a breakthrough in thinking about how I deal with planning tasks. Usually I get to Monday and don't have a plan for the week or even the day. Either I spend a lot of time getting planned, then feel I haven't done enough on my projects, or else I do some work on projects but feel anxious that there are things I'm not taking care of. Neither of these is a good start to the week.
So I want to commit to having a planning session for the week every Thursday, since Fridays I mostly go in and work at my client's office and that routine is working fairly well.
That way I am not coming into planning 'cold' after the weekend, and I can (I hope) get right into work every Monday.
But today will have to do some planning. No list yet!

Living Now
When
we were procrastinating compulsively, we left the here and now. We escaped into
fantasy and the future (do it tomorrow or next week), and we were often unaware of how much we were procrastinating. By some
strange mental quirk, we were able to forget that we should have been
taking daily action, not adding more things to our "to do" list for the future.
Higher Power
is now. To make contact with HP is to bring ourselves in touch with
what is real. When we first came to PA, we may have had doubts, if not
downright disbelief, about the reality of HP, but concrete experience
has convinced most of us that a Higher Power is indeed in control.
In
order to be rid of the mental obsession which drives us to the insane
behavior of compulsive procrastinating, we practice being constantly tuned in
to our Higher Power. HP can restore us to sanity and keep us living in
the present. By giving HP our past resentments and future fears, we
become free to focus on the here and now. Without resentment and fear,
we can see the beauty of the present moment.
Lord, keep me living in the here and now.

Art of Balance - Don't Procrastinate on Living
You cannot put your life on hold. It will backfire, increase resistance t work, and reduce your efficiency an dproductivity. Remember to eat well, sleep, exercise, and make yourself leave the office for lunch to walk or run, and to take a break.
Practice strategic cramming.Instead of worrying about "their" deadlines, create your own personal deadlines that take into account your plans, holidays, and your schedule.
Have a life plan with established priorities. Develop a clear, compelling vision for each of the major areas o fyour life: work, family, personal health. Focus every day on a plan that tells you when you start on your highest priorities at work, with family, and on your personal health and development. Let go of trying to do everything and to control everything and everbody. Focus on one top priority at a time for 15 to 30 minutes of uninterrupted work.

Today is a day to catch up and do some straightforward tasks, and to take care of myself.
If I don't get back on a normal sleeping and eating schedule and clean up my house a little bit, I think I'm going to go insane. So priorities are:
*Some exercise (probably just walk home)
*Shop
*Eat dinner AT HOME
*clean kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom
*get a book to read
*Call home
*Bed by 12
I also need to keep chipping away at web crawling project, and work on j.c. presentation. But those are lower priority than making sure I don't go nuts :)
hope4emandu day 35
Thanks chickadee for the great message starter today, so nice to see you!!
I FOUND SNOWY/TOUGHY!!! THANK YOU G_D!!! THEY TOOK HIM TO A GROOMER AND VET....HE'S SO SKINNY. SHE SAID i CAN COME BY ANYTIME AND BE IN HIS LIFE. THEY HAD HIM CHAINED UP!! HOPEFULLY I CAN HELP THEM WITH TRAINING. IT TOOK ME ABOUT AN HOUR IN THE WINDY RAIN OF GOING PRACTICALLY DOOR-TO-DOOR, TAKING TO ANYONE ON THE STREET - TO FIND HIM AND I'M SO PROUD OF ME!!!!!
I am trying to have faith that this will work out well for all of us, especially snowy. Still very depressed. Will go for a doggy interview either Tuesday or Friday. It's a dog shop that has people come in & interview on Tuesdays & Fridays, and you can, if they like you, learn to be a trainer, groomer, etc., or be a dog walker. Have not idea which area to pick, because I would love to do them all. I hope they like me and I get hired, if it's right.
To do:
-exercise
-laundry
-look for snowy one more time today
-resumes
Have no will to do anything, but I'm showing up here, thankfully!!! Also grateful that the food cravings are lessening and I haven't acted out.
Wishing you miracles with procrastination today!!

Show up (done), basics, strategize
So grateful for my PA "showing up" consistency, allowed me to adopt our new puppy of 2 wks, so easy to take her out because I don't think about "shutting down" for the day, and she is so good because she can rely on me "showing up" consistently, thanks to PA(ers).

So cute...((vic))
What's her name. If you have any questions, I'd love to help, if I can. She looks like a lab mix? What is she and where did you adopt her from? So happy for you both!!

(Hope)
Hi Hope, she is a White Lab, I got her from a girl whose fiance went back to Texas and left the dog and her. That is not her picture, Velvet is so much better looking. I do not know how to upload a picture from my computer, her name is Velvet, she is so good, she is my son's dog, but seems like I take care of her all day, that's ok, she makes me so happy, she just turned 8 mo. A real miracle, another couple was going to take her and did not show up, and I just had an urge to call, don't know why (well I do know, it was my hp). I walk 3 mi every day, and she is the best walking partner I ever had. The miracle of miracles is my husband hates dogs, and was so angry at first, and even he accepted her, she is the first dog he ever liked. I just really love her.
ah....((vic))
My girl has a lot of lab, she is blonde. So happy for you!!! VELVET, what a gorgeous name!!! I can't upload pictures either...she must be vevy happy. Labs love exercise and being outside. I'm so happy you all found her and she found you!!! Looking forward to hearing so much more, as she grows.
