Welcome

Glad you're here Housereclaimer, what a great name!

PS Don't worry about colors, just get started bookending :)

guilty of skimming again

I tend to skim and miss stuff. It's a terrible habit. I missed the part about the colors.

Your lists don't have to have colors or meet any other requirements. They are just for you, so do it in whatever way is useful to you. I like using colors and graphics because it amuses me - no other reason. If you'd like to use graphics in your posts, click on the link to the left "Graphics for Forum Posts" for a gallery and instructions. The colors are simple HTML. Occasionally one of us will forget to close a tag and the whole board will change to a different color. :P

That never happens

I'll leave it purple. :D

P.S.

welcome, Housereclaimer!!

You'll find the help you need here. The tools we use are simple, but they really work. I also have ADD, plus I got very depressed on top of that because of some life problems. Talk about a prescription for procrastination!

ADD + Depression = Deadly Procrastination

When I was going through the crisis in my life I gained a fair amount of weight that I'm now trying to lose. I'm having some success with that just by following my hunger cues, and dealing directly with the problems that trigger the emotional eating urges. I'm years behind in accounting and filing tax returns - still working on that. My home is in pretty good shape, though - especially since, when I was forced to sell my house and move back into a one-room apartment, I had no choice but to go through everything I owned and get rid of all non-essentials.

Bookending is a great tool to help you get moving. There's a post about this at the top of the Bookending forum. I'm planning to write a general getting started article, but I spent so much time collecting silly graphics this morning for use in forum posts that I need to get outside. Maybe I'll post the article tomorrow.
