Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small,
large or petty, never give in.. (Winston Churchill)
We can overcome this!

Show up (done)Had to put this one up- I think I need to buy this poster and hang it up. Show up (done) One disaster after another. Yesterday found out my son was stealing out of my wallet and giving it to his friends and going to an amusement park, etc.I could not believe it after all I did for him. I have definitely been feeling like I am going through hell and the last thing I want to do is keep going, I just want to shut down.
Allegro asked about the poster- I found the : Listen to the Lady poster by zooming in on the lower rt corner- it had a stamp "War Production Co-ordinating committee" so I put that in the search box and all kinds of stuff came up.
I put Churchill posters in the seach box and all kinds of stuff came up.I love Churchill-what a character. When we visited England and saw the ww2 museum bunker and underground headquarters, war rooms, etc. it was fastinating- you could almost feel the spirit of victory walking through the halls. In a way, we have that spirit here in PA, I mean this site,.
Sorry
Sorry for what you are going through, I sent you a private message, keep showing up and don't shut down, I know it is hard but the sun will shine through the clouds.

((Vic)) Yes! These are the posters JulesK was looking for!
Thank you for putting up these posters and the others in 20th thread Vic!! I think they are exactly what JulesK was looking for! Thank you for taking the time to search for them.
These posters are so inspirational - especially these Winston Churchill ones. They remind us of the wisdom that people before us learnt from their tough times. Very soon, we'll be the wise people passing down our wisdom to those after us!
Hang in there Vic! We're all here for you - keep ploughing on and we'll all come out the other side of this hell hole!

Further to reading Lucky's post about going cold turkey to prevent an addiction and Vic's posters about every minute you're loafing is letting enemy win - I've decided to try be more conscious about every minute I let slip away, almost like every cigarette I would refuse if I were a smoker.
I'm just going to start with being conscious and aware first, I won't expect big things from myself, but I think it's a good start.
In the spirit of small changes - from today I won't turn on my computer as soon as I get up. I will power through my morning routine first. Emails can wait. Updating myself on the world can wait. It was strangely serene to eat my breakfast in silence today - very nourishing for the soul!
Today's tasks:
- be conscious not to give even one minute to the enemy today
- do not turn on computer as soon as I get up
- breakfast
- wash b dishes
- get ready for workout
- workout
- shower
- start check in thread
- check in
- cook lunch/dinners
- wash cooking dishes
- eat
- wash lunch dishes
- input food diary
- grocery shopping
> ops (to be broken down)
- get ready for bed
- go to bed without procrastination
I've decided to continue with the ag project tomorrow to capitalise on my positive outlook for ops. This is not procrastination, it is planning as the project that is not time-critical on weekends anyway. I will not let this get me down. Roar!
In hope,
Allegro
Allegro Check Out 19/6
Not feeling very well this evening - I think I may have caught a cold from jogging outside in the wintertime. :/ So I thought I'd check out early tonight and get an early night's rest.
I didn't get around to doing the ops, but I did cook food for the next 3 days and did the grocery shopping for the next week (which I'd be putting off for days). So I can half pat myself on the back.
I just realised how crazy it is that sometimes I can check in and check out before your days have even properly gotten under way. Maybe I should check in into the previous day's thread instead to stay together with everyone. *shrug*
Anyhow gnite folks! Best of luck with your individual endeavours today!

Sorry double post
Great thread starter, Goal_Allegro!
Love it! Good morning :)
Oh haha you caught me Kitty!
Oh haha you caught me Kitty! I decided to start the thread the night before (okay I was procrastinating going to bed), so that the anxiety of it wouldn't stall my progress in the morning and prevent me from checking in. I didn't think anyone would notice! You got me!
Hi--I don't think I've seen
Hi--I don't think I've seen any one ever complained about starting the thread the night before--time zone differences mean that the thread while almost alsways start before someone's tomorrow!
