And what a beautiful day it is! It has been a day of indulging myself with good things, but it is time to pick up and get some things done before I go to my meeting tonight.Bold equals completed
up by 7:30, bed, 1st meds, shower, swish and wash. 1st load of laundry, make breakfast *ate breakfast out, 2nd meds by 8:30 * second meds at 11:00. 8:30 phone check in. meal plan, shift laundry, begin paperwork. MIT that I did not do today was to print out the transactions I need for taxes. That is the MIT for tomorrow. I will be damned if I don't have them finished by Saturday!
Tomorrow I will help a friend and get a walk in. 1 phone errand - set up dental appointment. Check in with pharmacist on other medication coverage if I have time. dust, vacuum. Must be at the meeting by 6:30 to greet this month, so dinner should be cooked early. Gnochi with lemon artichoke pesto and arugula salad. Grill portabella mushrooms. Cantalope cut up for supper. soaking lentils for tacos.
Before I go to my meeting I would like to wash my hair, fold and put away clean clothes, make gnochi and grill veggies. I completed my time sheet this morning, which was the most urgent task. I also spent some wonderful time with my sister and family, got out in the sun, had a lovely walk with a friend and her animals, and enjoyed having the yard picked up by someone else. A grand day. This evening my schedule should go like this:
4:45-5:00 paperwork printing
5:00-6:00 wash hair and cook, set table,1st set of dishes.

6:20 leave for meeting to be a greeter. Meeting over at 8:15. Walk home. 9-10: do paperwork in front of the television, check email, etc.
10-11:00 last call dishes, brush teeth, face, plan shopping list for meal tomorrow. (invite Megan and family for dinner tomorrow night? Hot spot the dining room for tomrrow's paperwork.
Lights off for walk at 8:00 tomorrow morning.

Late check in today, and also got a bit of a late start this morning due to dropping off daughter's car at the shop. Again. They told us last month that her a/c compressor had gone out but I had to wait until I had the moolah to get it fixed, so took it back today. Barely had time to grab a bite of breakfast and change out of gym clothes before a 2 hour conference call at 10. *whew* so now it's lunchtime and I still haven't made my todo list for the day lol.
Gonna eat lunch and plan the rest of the day. Later!

Though I have been fairly active the last few days, I feel like I've not gotten some of my long-term top priorities worked on. Today is for catching up on a few things that have slipped, and getting myself ready for a very proactive Thursday.

Procrastinated and watched tv last night instead of cleaning refrigerator.
Have guests comnig Friday night, have major cleaning and really can't take this procrastinating anymore. Don't want to leave it all for one day, as is my usual. Realizing I have to find a way to constructively deal with my depression.
Also became aware of 2 amends I need to make, but it is beyond me at how I will do this and it's upsetting me what I did, how come in never bothered me before and how to apologize.
Here's my stupid list:
-clean the fridge
-give my girl a bath
-work on buying curtains (very cheaply)
-getting dining room table and chairs (very cheaply)
-dusting each room
-washing the floors
Why can't I just to one thing a night?

So, this is what morning feels like? Interesting... I have lots to do today and started by procrastinating getting up, as I hit the snooze for a total of 35 minutes. Why do I always think I can catch up the time later? Insanity (Step 2). God help me!

i had a really bad day today. i thought i'd get the first half page done and another half page written but succeeded in neither. wasted the morning. tried to get back on track in the afternoon but i just wouldn't. plus i got unexpected extra time today to work. this is depressing. it's only half a page. i'm very down now because i really tried to get working, taking it in small steps, sitting in front of my pc trying to think hard what to write and get the facts. but still, no output. ::sad::
ok, trying to focus on positive things: I DID do some work on the first half page, although mainly rewriting some things so they'd get clearer. i wrote the email. (i've just set myself the task to write one email to friends each day to not lose contact for weeks and months and eventually years.) and now i will at least print out the form to cancel membership in HSS. i hope tomorrow will be better!
I find that I used to get down on myself on days like that, but after being here a while, I am beginning to start to feel myself going down the wrong path and will pull myself back in here. One thing that I have found very effective is to work in small chunks using a computer timer like Instant Boss. If I get on a roll with work I can keep going, but the timer catches me up if I get off track.
