What do I do now?
I really don't want to do anything, but I still have and hour before I need to start my bedtime routine. This is usually where I start a really good time sink }:) and miss my bedtime goals and feel like crap the next day. Maybe I'll just start my bedtime routine and see where that leaves me.

An hour before bedtime
Theoretically I would do my BBR first, and then take the extra hour as bonus time for catching up on something I wanted to do - for example I love reading, but don't seem to have much time for it.
In practice, I would probably surf the net (maybe even override auto-shutdown), get overtired, put off doing my bedtime routine, climb into bed late, and still want to read, and either grumble about having to go to sleep because I'm getting up early in the morning, or suffer the consequences of doing both.
same thing for me right now
I'm in the same position. It's an hour before I start my bedtime routine. And you know what I want to do? Eat. :?
Maybe I'll start my bedtime routine, and then read in bed for a while.
hungry versus just wanting to eat
This time I think I was really hungry. I haven't been eating that much today - just a little at a time because I want to lose weight. I had a small cup of granola with milk. That was enough. Now I can finish getting ready for bed.
I've got a whole hour...
Ok, I’m going to see if I can get this out, I think I’m having an “insight.
an hour in the morning versus evening
Don't be so hard on yourself. An hour in the morning and an hour in the evening aren't the same. You are winding down for the day. Probably you don't have the same energy and concentration that you have earlier to begin a new project or do something that requires focus. I can't work well in the evening. I do it sometimes when I'm desperately late, but I hate it and don't do my best work then.
Why not use the hour to relax and read a book? It's okay to not be productive every second. You are allowed to relax the last hour of your day!!
Winding down
Relax time is already built in to my bedtime routine. My real beef is that I never make time for the really important things. I can always find something less important to do.
me, too
I've found that the reasons why vary depending on what it is. Sitting quietly and thinking about it for a while can bring up what's going on. What do you imagine your experience of doing it would be? What do you imagine the consequence of doing it would be? Picture it vividly, and you'll probably figure it out.
Sitting quietly
If I sit quietly with it, then I'm not getting something else done ;)
I know, I know, you're absolutely right. It's something I'm just learning to do...learning to focus on one thing at a time and being able to sit with it for awhile. Thanks for the reminder :)
one focus
What was your reason for picking the name "1Focus"? Do you tend to be scattered, do too many things at once and not finish any of them? Or did you have some other reason? Just curious.
Even better
I do too many things at once and don't even start them :D
How did you guess?
The former.
takes one to know one
;)
