the "three circles" tool

Hello hello hello, this is my second message on here and I wanted to thank the person who had previously posted something regarding the 3 circles as a tool to help define sobriety in PA. The 3 circles is a tool that is used in the SAA (Sex Addicts Anonymous) program, and the inner circle is where one puts the behaviors one wants to abstain from, the middle circle contains behaviors that are slippery/can lead one to the inner circle, and the outer circle contains healthy behaviors such as meetings, taking care of oneself, etc. that help us to stay sober. For myself, I put "missing a deadline" in the inner circle because this seems to cause craziness in my life. The other day I got out of bed without hitting the snooze alarm even once, and this was huge for me. I told myself I should get a reward, and then chuckled when I said to myself, "Your reward is sanity!" I have an assignment for my class to finish by today, so I will check back when I am done with that. I already asked for an extension on the deadline, so it's really important to me that I meet this deadline. Thanks for reading, and happy Monday!

tammy

Tammy, thanks for explanation of the 3 circles: it helps me to think of how to protect myself from procrastinating behind my back!
