Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No to Take Control of Your Life: Henry Cloud, John Townsend

This book was highly recommended to me and I'm finding it very enlightening.  It's not specifically about procrastination, but it addresses a lot of resistance issues that many of us struggle with.   It is written from a Christian standpoint with lots of Bible quotes and whatnot, so if you're not into that, this book might not be for you.  But if you're ok with the religion part, it's an excellent book.

control or surrender

notwithstanding the fact that the title is exactly what the vast majority of us here need to do...

and notwithstanding that the title is chosen by marketers to get the book to sell...

considering the book text itself, is it "take control by surrendering control to God which then frees you to follow his will which is where the real power lies" or more like "take control so you can make your own decisions"?

Because i am finding that the problem with setting myself up as my own fiefdom is that i become limited to myself. Whereas "god" is bigger and better than me in every way.

re:boundaries

It's definitely along the "taking control by surrendering" lines.  There's even a discussion of Step 1.  There's a great chapter about being outwardly compliant and inwardly resistant that describes me perfectly lol!  I highly recommend it.
