Isabella 12AM
I DID just put in 2 hours into my power point presentation. It feels awesome! Just yesterday I spent 8 hours trying to make myself do ANYTHING related to it. Even though I still have good part of it to be finished I am happy I was able to finally start working.
WAY TO GO!!!
Way to go Isabella! You can get the job done.
Thanks!
Thanks!
For tonight:Work at least
For tonight:
Work at least for 2 hours(or more if possible) on power point presentation for next week. (Did I mention it was originally for today but somehow I was saved into having it moved for next week). Anyways....wish me luck. I am drinking my cofee now.

When I get tired, I procrastinate on going to bed, which is very counterproductive. Getting ready for bed now...

pro-crastinating on going to bed
I hate going to bed and I hate getting up. I'm naturally a night person - or at least I used to be - now I'm more like an afternoon person . . .lol
But anyway, I'm like a little kid about bedtime - just let me stay up a little bit longer!

Hi all, hope you have had a good day.
I had a busy day today, but mostly with things that I do not procrastinate on, so it was busy but emotionally restful, which I needed.
e's ridiculously gleeful checkin
Karen, great threadstarter! I am hanging in there, as you say , actually better than that! I woke up bright eyed and bushytailed at 6:30 AM with a smile on my face about going to work! I have not been so eager for a long time! I had a great day, worked consistently throughout it without break, got to the doctors to renew a prescription and came home happy and exhausted. I feel as if I am in an environment where I know which way is up and I like all that I do.
There is a lot of procrastinating I need to shift from, but I am feeling more optimistic about it. In fact, I am going to write the long overdue U. MAss letter right now!

Good job elisaveth.
Isn't it true that action is the best antidote for anxiety?
Well done Elisaveth.

Re: e's ridiculously gleeful checkin
Sounds great! Way to go on the letter.
da letta is FINISHED!
I can't believe it took so long for me to do something that took so little time! I can tell it was about fear: what if I made the wrong decision, what would the repurcussions be for my son's application, perhaps it would be worse because I could have/should have done this a month ago... etc. I also notice that one of the things in my way was not having the email address, or not wanting to look up the name of the person who I had spoken to on the phone. I can't tell if it was laziness or simply dread, but I perservered and its DONE
Woo hoo on that letter!
Way to go!!!
w00t to elisaveth!
Congrats on finishing The Letter. Thats a huge achievment for a recovering procrastinator!
w00t! w00t!

Hangin' On Til' Friday!
What have I done so far today:
Got up and got dressed.
Took daughter to school... missed bus... we both slept in. Not good.
Spiritual awareness and growth
Emailed a friend about something long awaited for
Reserved movies needed for a class, which freed my daughter to reserve movies she wants to see
Ensured all other movies needed for class are readily available
Discussed with bank IMMEDIATE financial "crisis" - which helped save the "crisis"
Dug up 2006 tax return needed early this week by long long awaited for dental assistance
Addressed and stamped envelope
Wow, I have not done this much in a half day since forever.
Thanks guys, your encouragement is helping me achieve things already!
What I want to do before the day is over:
Go to class
Pick up a movie that arrived last week
Photo copy tax return
Drop tax return copy off at post office
Take daughter to learn more about world history and listen to Rosa Park's attorney speak
Sneak in dinner somewhere
Place an order for clothing needed for more than 2 years
Wow, I will probably get some good sleep tonight if I actually get all this done. Perhaps that would help my daughter not miss the bus tomorrow.
Re: Hangin' On Til' Friday!
Greyfox, welcome to the group! Accountability does help enormously.
Thanks Kaoba, accountability
Thanks Kaoba, accountability for me today is the only reason I achieved this afternoon's activities. I am glad to be here.
Thank you for making me feel welcome.

Failed at Graphics
I tried but I can't get the graphic to post! Let me know what I did wrong!
I've decided that my not feeling well is the biggest problem affecting my procrastination. Yesterday I found myself caught between whether I should continue to rest (I've been like this for weeks! And, yes, I've been to the DR) or push through it. So I did spend sometime resting after school was done and then went to the coffee shop to study. I also did my shopping. It seemed to work ok. I don't feel any worse, anyway.
Today:
Take recycling into town.
Do what I did yesterday afternoon!
Write up a more thorough to-do list.
Peace.
Karen
graphics - pro will fix it:)
It took me a while to get the hang of it - you just have to follow the instructions in "graphics for forum posts" and use that tinymre thingy, but my first few attempts were unsuccessful too!

Journey 7:41
Working from home 1/2 day and babysitting the other half of the day. As you know, I'm not that good at working from home :)
Right now, I'm going to do my yoga video, then prepare for a 9:30 meeting (conference call). After the meeting, I'm headed over to my son's house to have fun and games for a few hours.
Have a successful and enjoyable day everyone!
