oh, well.

Didn't do a darn thing today.  Feeling very down and discouraged lately.

one day at a time

There is a great children's book called ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO-GOOD, VERY BAD DAY, which sometimews sums up my day. At the end of this uncomfortable, full of mistakes, have-to -buy-the-wrong-shoes, get-blamed-for-things-not-my-fault kind of day, his mother tells him 'some days are like that.'   I think of that book whenever I have a day like that and try to remember that tomorrow is a new one, that feelings pass if I let myself experience them, that low pressure zones will knock me out, and that I usually feel better if I let my higher power do the driving.

I hope you have a better tomorrow!

Scarlett feeling down

Hope you feel better soon and get the holiday spirit - that is, if you celebrate these holidays :)

This time of year is always hard for me, too, but not for any good reason - I just dislike all the disruption of normal schedules and extra responsibility and it throws me off balance from Thanksgiving until New year's.   I've never understood why some people are energized by this time of year - they must be extroverts.

Which is why I need to post here!

Better late than never.

to do:
6 hours dissertation work

Have a great day,

10:00 am CI for Lark

A very appropriate graphic for today, Elisaveth. Last night I sat and drank coffee with my neighbor on my front porch, and while it was chilly, the coffee and amusing conversation warmed thing a bit. This morning, I don't even want to GO out there! I have one task for work which will require me to be outside for an hour or so, so I think I'm just going to do it when I'm done here. Brr.
To do:
(X)morning routine
(X)spiritual time
(X)post this on PA
do yucky, cold project
call client about his finished job
while work area is warming, put away laundry
set up next job in workshop, and put un-needed things away
kitty box
feed relative's dog
put in storm door

re graphic

lol, I am in Athens, and it is a wishful thinking graphic! It is brisk, meaning in the 50's (or teens for centigrade people) but I will be lucky if a see more than a flurry in the next month!

Journey 3:00 pm

I'm like totally depressed today for no reason.  I think it's allergy stuff, making my head feel all fuzzy.  I was fairly unproductive this morning, even doing some web surfing which I haven't fallen prey to in a couple of weeks.    Oh well, we shall press on .

feel better

Dear Journey, I am on an emotional rollercoaster myself: The days can be so good, but then I fall apart by night. One thing that is helping me is journalling and reading the AA Big Book. The planets just seem to align better then.

hugs to you,

elisaveth

lad? rexroth?

You know who else is missing lately?  lad

I miss you guys when you don't post.  I guess people come and go but I have come to think of you guys as friends.
