Edge's Closing CI

I did everything on my list except cleaning the kitty litter tray, which I really didn't feel like doing. Going to do that today (since today is already tomorrow). Generally though, I did ok-ish. Could have done more. ...Meh.

Edge's CI - 7:18PM

I've written roughly around 1000 words. I want to reach 16k tonight, and if possible, 17k.
Going to take a break and do other things now.

Edge's CI - 5:29PM

I shall not complain. I shan't, I tell you! I will simply pick up where I last stalled and plough on. So:

Edge's CI - 5:53PM

There are no more games on my laptop, and the CDs are thrown out of reach and sight over my closet, so I should be safe from myself for now. Now to finish off the overdue housework.

Wow!

Wow, Edge!  Good for you -- and what better time than Thanksgiving weekend for "going cold turkey!"  Here's hoping you don't get computer game withdrawal symptoms!  ;-)

Falcon

Hehe

Thanks, Falcon :-D I'm hoping my resolve stays strong and I don't end up pulling out the broom and trying to fish the CDs off the top of the closet :p Good thing I have an illogical fear of hieghts, otherwise I would use a ladder the first time I get the urge to play!

pc games

OMG this is painful to read

re: pc games

It had to be done, Journey, it had to be done.

Those games were destroying me. I was wasting over 5 hours a day on them, which meant I'd ignore all my tasks for the day and stay up till 3AM in the morning playing, which also meant that I got little to nothing done and had 4-5 hours of sleep before waking up to get ready for work.

PC games are an obsession that I can't afford. I know myself better than to think that I can pace myself. I am too weak :-( It was the only way I could break their hold on me. They're evil :((

ALL pc games - even travian?

*shudder* this seems very harsh to me lol . . . but I'm proud of you!
No more WoW . . . no more Second Life . . . no more Starcraft . .. I'm not sure I could face it.

Er..

Oh yeah..forgot about travian ..
Bah, I guess even Travian has to go. Better go delete my account. I will, however, keep my account on www.itsyourturn.com . I am only human, after all, and it takes like half a day for the other person to make their move, sometimes even days, so it's not like I can spend hours playing :-) Yup, I'll only keep itsyourturn.com. The rest is going into the trash. Gotta be done. No other way.

Lol, Journey

More like a very panicked woman, hehe. My addiction has reached a scary level. If I don't do this, I'll end up sabotaging everything. Let's first see what happens over the next few days.

I did it!

Hi all,

I just have to brag on myself a little. I got up and made a phone call that I was anxious about (to my credit card company) first thing this morning.  BEFORE I EVEN HAD MY TEA!  Woohoo!  AND everything is now o.k. with my account.

Now I just have to make sure I let that be a springboard for getting stuff done the rest of the day, rather than just calling it a day and going back to bed. . .

A lot of us here in the U.S. have today off as part of the Thanksgiving holiday.  Anyone else, like me, been putting stuff off till now, figuring we'd get it done over the long weekend?  :p

Next up: getting dressed & eating breakfast, & maybe putting in a load of laundry.  My intention is to be checking in here in, let's say, 45 minutes.

See you then!

Falcon

*\o/* yea falcon

Phone calls are the worst!  Gratz!

O.k., next up. . .

O.k., next up:

Call my friend
Put in a load of laundry
Work on The Pile for at least 20 minutes

My place really needs cleaning & tidying, but I realized that financial stuff/paperwork is a bigger anxiety source & brain drain right now, so I'm making that a priority.

Falcon

Got a couple of hours

I put a pretty good dent in The Pile.  Got a couple of hours before getting together with my friend

Next:

Go for a walk/weight lifting
Send email message
Eat a snack
Shower/change

Falcon

Mostly done

Mostly done -- going to save the weight-lifting till later tonight, but I got in a good walk -- it's a beautiful day here!

Catch you all later. . .

Falcon

Stuff to do

I have a lot of stuff to do before having people over tomorrow.  Plus I have class to go to in the morning and need to shop for a birthday present for my friend's son.  Yikes!  But if I get a good part of the household stuff done tonight it won't be too bad.

So, next to do:

(10 + 2) x 5 hack on housework
Eat leftovers for dinner
Another (10 + 2) x 5 hack on housework

Falcon

WTG Falcon!!

W00t Falcon!

You go, Falcon! Kudos to you for making that phone call :D I'm forever putting off important calls, so I truly understand how big a deal it is to finally get it off your list! Good job

Journey 8:30

Yesterday was a very nice day for me, it was Thanksgiving in the US and I hope everyone enjoyed it.  We had lunch at my mother-in-law's and then I did absolutely nothing for the rest of the day.

Today, it's back to the salt mines! It's going to be hard to stay focused today because the office is practically empty.  I have changes to prepare for the weekend though so I have stuff that has to get done today.

DONE:
-Gym
-Read email
-Daily Planning
-Bank

TO DO:
-organize email
-Minutes from Change Meeting
-Review test plan
-Spreadsheet for the weekend
-Prepare parm change
-Review project list    (MF)
-tax thing - 10 minutes (MF)
-another SL form - 10 minutes (MF)
-Club Budget (MF)

A lot of MFs (which can stand for Moldy Frogs or substitute your favorite phrase that fits the acronymn)

OK, next action item:
COFFEE
then organize email before it gets out of control again

next, I'm going to review my project list while I eat lunch; it's so out of control that I can't think straight.  an hour organizing this will improve my productivity for the rest of the day I think.
