Sorry everyone. I've been procrastinating a bit... or maybe not. Anyway, spent some time I hadn't intended to in order to reply to a backlog of replies to old threads of mine. If someone could give me some tips on this particular forum program (i.e., how to know if someone has replied--more easily), I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Lol, oh I sleep! In fact, I would rather sacrifice efficiency for the sake of sleep, which is why that to-do list wasn't completed I posted my closing check in this morning just to give my list closure so I'd know what I finished/have left whenever I need to refer to it in the future.
But you're right - it is a new day, and there's no need to carry yesterday's negativity to cloud today's clarity :-) Thanks, Elisaveth. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Nothing diminishes anxiety faster than action - Walter Anderson

ugh - been staring at this frog for 2 hours and have done some paper shuffling but haven't made any real progress. Posting here for inspiration. Just took a short break and got a cup of tea, and making another stab at it.
I'll work on this for one hour and stop. Let's see how much I can get done by 5 pm.
I was on a roll on the froggy project once I FINALLY got started - I actually "published" the first draft of my document. It still needs polishing and some areas fleshed out, but is good enough to present to my boss and my team for review.
It's amazing how this stuff gets done if I can just GET STARTED! I swear I stared at it for two hours before actually putting pen to paper.
I bet it feels like such a relief getting rid of the bulk of the work, doesn't it? Great job! (thought you might like another frog  :-p ;-) )

Today has been a wasteful useless day: I could not bring myself to post here 6 hours ago. I am fearful of what I must finish, and have been brought to my knees by that fear. The only thing I feel like I can do in an effort towards progress is to be honest with myself here in writing.
For today:
post check in take medicine work on annual report plan dinner call office reschedule office appointments verizon sort papers
Honesty is your friend, Elisaveth. I'd suggest taking 30 minutes to sit somewhere quiet and let your fears, worries and whatever comes to mind out on paper or on a word ducument. Not only will writing to yourself about your fears clarify them, you might actually give yourself answers and solutions that you'd never have thought of. That's how I got over some rough patches when I felt exactly how you feel now. It's extremely uplifting, really helps dispel the pent up pressure caused by dread and anxiousness. Also, it will give you many insights into your character, things that you never knew about yourself before. Like why you've procrastinated on certain tasks, why you behave in certain ways in certain situations, and what you need to do about it.
I would suggest reading some of Steve Pavlina's articles, he has some really good ones on this subject specifically. I'll send you the links to some of them if you like, or I can post them around here; they could prove useful to others. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Nothing diminishes anxiety faster than action - Walter Anderson

I had a letter from landlords and a rent statement and it is wrong and I was also wrong so I phoned them and did not succeed in resolving it. So now I've written a long letter which I hope will sort things out.

I wrote the email I need to send to prospective employers, but I'm waiting for an experienced friend to check it for me before I send it.
Finished creating the FL list and I sent it, but it sure did take a lot of time to get it done. I also spent a few hours watching a movie and taking picutres while playing with my kitten, so I did waste a good part of my day needlessly
But never mind all that :-) I'm going to start studying now. Two more days to go - need to cover a lot of chapters. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Nothing diminishes anxiety faster than action - Walter Anderson
