Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.

Chatbox Guilt

Today I got carried away with more chatting than working in Chatbox (my username Spazz may give you a clue into that). I'm very sorry for this as I want to help keep Chatbox for what it was intended and not misuse it. I thought about contacting another member through their profile and even told the other member this before I realized that: #1) I didn't accidentally give out the email with my real name, #2) my "anonymous" email, used for registering at different sites, is just too clogged- I simply would feel overwhelmed dealing with any more in my in-box than I already do, & #3) though I use Skype, Gmail, Twitter, & Facebook; again these have my real life name attached to them and I want to keep the anonymous in Procrastinators Anonymous without creating yet another profile to keep track of (especially one used for a single purpose at that).

I used to have fellowship with a Christian group that utilized a service called Tinychat. People would gather in a specific video chat room where we would video, audio, or text chat and also watch videos. You could get on camera, a microphone only, or just text chat; whatever you felt comfortable with. The thing is, you can totally maintain your privacy; the service is free, simple to use, & super quick to get into. I don't know if anyone here has heard of it, but I did want to put that out there as a suggestion for members who wanted to communicate more rapidly than via email and didn't have an anonymous messaging service to make use of.

You go to tinychat.com and click Instant Chat Room. They give you a url to copy so you can invite others to this room, then you click Enter Room where you can sign in under Guest (I would suggest not signing in under Facebook or Twitter to avoid disclosing your identity) with any username you wish. I don't know if this has been specifically mentioned before or not, but I definitely don't want to lose Chatbox and will rein in my (non-Chatbox) chatting in the future.

If not now, when?
