Welcome to this thread. Please, add no horrible pictures or any graphics in this message! In my humble opinion they have nothing to do with a 12-step recovery.

dreary thread starter

Ritva, I won't add a nice graphic to today's thread starter since you specifically asked that I not do it. But what a drag for me and others. The graphics are fun, and make the whole check-in process more pleasant.

I'll add a graphic to this message instead, and post my check-ins in response to this message.

Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.

pro's CI - 9:45pm

I finished unpacking. I'm tired. I think all I'll do now is get ready for bed. I was on a staff retreat this week, and I had to room with someone who got up at 4:30am every morning. I haven't had a good night's sleep for a week.

pro's CI - 8:36pm

I need to unpack from my trip. I'll do that now, and check in when I'm done. Then I have to decide what will be next. I'm trying to avoid drifting. Whatever I do this evening, I want it to be on purpose - an actual decision rather than a frittering from indecision.

Thomas C., 10:08 a.m. PDT--severe procrastination

Good morning. Watching Youtube videos instead of grading papers, which are due at noon. I HATE THE ASSIGNMENT! I wrote it, and here is the product. My students followed instructions, some more, some less, and I find that I had them produce something so boring, so repetitious, that I'm going crazy.

::sick::

I was up to 4 a.m. reading stuff on the Web while I was grading just to keep it from driving me out of my mind. Anyway, now it's morning, and I've procrastinated for just over an hour. There are 15 more to go.

Grading =p

Oh my lord, Thomas, are you living my life or what?! Good luck with the grading. I'll send some positive "vibes" your way. You know that if you get into that staying up late to finish routine, you'll end up with a hefty sleep debt, right? Just recovering from that one... Glenna
