If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down.

check-ins

Hi VM!

Here are links to two posts from the top of the check-ins board that explain the mysteries of check-ins, how they work, how to use them, etc.:

How and why check-ins work:

How to use the check-in board:

How that helps. Glad you're here.

Progress: Late CI Wed. 6/27

Hi all, I'm back after a week immersed in birthdays ... having MAJOR trouble concentrating. I did succeed in getting *ONE* assignment completed and made some money on that. So I broke my procrastination spell on that, thank God. But now I really have to get in gear.

Tasks for today/tonight:

*Write as many assignments as I can, 10 max, 5 min.

*Read Bible, prayer

*UA meeting tonight, step workbook

*PA chatbox check-ins

I have a few other things on my list, but realistically, I won't do any of them because of the hazy mood I'm in and it's already 5pm. Main goal is to get that stuff written.

kromer 11:30 CI

OK, I've been having trouble concentrating this week.

And today is a pretty short day because I am teaching girls group this evening.

So, I need to keep my list manageable:
*Work on ES cell counts (this won't necessarily get done today, because I need to do calcs and QC, but I want to make process)
*Look at slides
*Ask about gavage, and watch some videos about how to do this
*Email about probes
*Finish tabulating stuff that's finished so far (including doing a little extra microscopy)

*Probe design for PPARd

My Day Today

I want to thank my Higher Power for this program, this website, the telephone and online meetings, and my life.

7. Go to the 12 noon telephone ACA meeting

Hypatia's check-in

I've all day to get things done apart form an appointment with ocucpaitonal Health at lunch-time.  But for the last week I've been having difficulty even getting started.  So I'll be in the chat-box as much as I can.

  • AH forms
  • verbal report for CR
  • phone messages
  • tidy desk
  • A's report
  • I's report
  • appointment
  • catch-up reports

Check in

All I can do today is try and stay focused on my assignment and GET IT DONE. That main one and the other two outstanding ones that are thankfully shorter...

However, I also must:

  • walk the dogs
  • feed the wretches
  • eat breakfast myself
  • go to my 10.30 meeting
  • after that work work work until I'm happily satisfied that I've done enough and it doesn't sound too awfully inane.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Draft of "Want To / Choose To" list for tomorrow

in an effort to create "buy in" and overcome avoidance and demand resistance I'm experimenting with calling my daily tasks a "Want To" and/or "Choose To" list, as opposed to the ever ominous and oppressive "To Do" list.

This is a draft and I'll be using abbreviations

Ins Matt

  • Cont. rvwing pol, as well as lit from lib
  • Doc last recorded activity on the item(s) in question
  • Finish Compiling docs
  • Draft email
