check-in

Struggled to get up this morning but turned staying in bed not able to sleep into staying in bed and writing some of my Step Three. Got two whole pages written and am now onto another section, this felt so good I even texted my sponsor!

Then did a van job for someone, so I earned some money and did a favour at the same time, which was good, but it's kind of made me feel as if I'm now 'allowed' to just mooch around for the rest of the day...

However, dinner is on the go, and I'm all set to go to an event this evening that will be part educational/part networking (I hope: I'm not sure I'm any good at networking...) and that's somewhat outside my comfort zone.

Finally, there's a slim possibility that I'd have enough energy left over to go to a party tonight, but I tend to think... no. I'm not even considering doing any work on my essay/report today but do I really not want to get any done tomorrow either? I have to make an effort and I will completely sabotage that effort if I have a really late night at some party.

I need a groovy quote to end my posts with... for now, adieu :)
