P.A. Promise #4:

Not the most productive day yesterday, mostly catching up with leftover tasks from the past week. Made a lot of progress on MITs though.

Plan for today is: 

  • LR - continue Wk 6 - do 2 days
  • Guest bedroom - continue - ugh, possibly finish up by the end of the week - freecycle toys - post online
  • CS 101- 1 v + 1 q
  • Living room - declutter desk need to spend 10 more min on it
  • LG - 8 - really do it fast
  • Research - merge Env - 1997, 2001, 2005 
  • Workout - 30 min
  • Read - Kindle

Lunch w/ friends

Show up (done), make plan, chat box

 Consistently "showing up" has become a new way of life for me with help of PA for over 2 years now.(I have been here 3 yrs, first yr was not consistent) "Showing up" has many different meanings for me . I am not "out of the woods" and can only hope the rest of promise #4 , but for the grace of God am grateful I have a place to "show up"  when the craving to "shut down" hits. (one day at a time).

Well great day at work today - felt a bit like chasing my own tail sometimes but satisfying job well done.

 Now for tonights' work.

 I'm fed and watered. And sleepy.  But a presentation due tomorrow that I really haven't started and a tutorial tomorrow that I have heaps to catch up on.

 Plan:

1. start presentation now with headings/questions adding bit at a time until I fall asleep at the computer... prob by 9.

 2. Go to bed and wake up at 1130 - work on presentation until 100.

3. Sleep.

4. 6am GO FOR RUN IN FREEZE TO WAKE UP!

5. 7-730 bfast 

6. 730-8 proof read presentation

7. go to cafe w COFFEE and do tutorial study until 1230 noon.

 

FROM NOW UNTIL AFTER TUTORIAL I will, seeking my strength from my higher power, resist the temptation to check my emails, texts, bank balances, FB or anything not related to these two tasks.  

 May we all be headed towards our new way of life as promised.

Journey 6 am & updates

Up at 5 am  to check on a sensitive process at work . . . so far going ok.   I'll make my todo list while monitoring and then hopefully be able to take an exercise break 7ish.   I'll check back with todo list around 9.

Update 11:00.   Well.   My power was off for an hour, so now I'm feeling behind schedule.   I had breakfast, changed clothes and folded some laundry during the time the power was out, and that stuff would have had to get done anyway so whatev.   Anyway, I had started on planning the rest of the day and didn't finish so I'll finish that up and then get to it.

Hypatia's check-in

Another year older today.  Trying to get some pleasure out of it, but still badly affected by depression.  The secretaries gave me a lovely present and couple of cards which was really nice.

 Now I have the joy of attending the "manual handling" course all morning at work.

Thanks for Promise 4, movingalong, even though it feels a long way off yet! But sometimes I've had glimpses . . . 

Yesterday was not so good, I did some things but also wasted lots of time. Kind of almost wishing I had a deadline for project K, but I'm sure it's good for me to create one myself instead. Need to head for the chat box and get back into it.

My Day Today

I want to thank my Higher Power for this program, this website, the telephone and online meetings, and my life.
