Walker Check Out Sunday April 1, 2012

Well, I accomplished one goal (ie, wrote and delivered rent checks for B and me - major, as I have a phobia of writing checks), which is better than no goals, like yesterday.

I visited B after work in the assisted living place; ate my dinner there (leftover lunch) and cleaned up, just now got home and feel "too tired" to open that stack of mail.  No block of time is big enough or small enough or just right enough to do it.  I have to accept that I will never feel like doing it and do it anyways.

I'll do two or more goals tomorrow.

Going to bed by 9:30 tonight.  (Hey, that's another goal! Beats 10 or 11 pm, like usual, then up at 4.  I felt so rested and together and happy today.  I'll keep this up.)  YAY WALKER!!!  (hugs, back pats, smooches)  I didn't hide my lack of success from myself or you.  That's progress again.

It IS so tempting to quit.  But I'm just at the start of my recovery.  This is to be expected.

Night, all.

“You may never know what results come of your action, but if you do nothing, there will be no result”  -Mahatma Gandhi

Great Pace!

0 goals yesterday, 1 goal today--you're on pace to be checking off 268 goals a day by Christmas! :) Great start. Have fun with your two goals tomorrow!

Thanks for letting me share

A new month!!!

Thanks Lennon for the starter, Happy April Fool's Day to you too!!!

I want to start the month positively with a check-in and a list that I actually follow through on...

  1. print off forms, fill them in, post them
  2. confirm flights
  3. book train tickets and confirm trains will be stopping at my local station at 4am...
  4. do laundry
  5. declutter (massively) my bedroom
  6. go to yoga
  7. go for walk with friends (and dogs)
  8. update blog
  9. send brother birthday card/present
  10. get packing!

I'm actually feeling a little bit nervous about the flights, the holiday, the animals I'm leaving behind... no meetings!! Online ones? I'm going to Corfu in Greece, maybe there's an AA meeting... must check... Anyway. I definitely need and deserve a holiday so fingers crossed (and faith in my HP) that all will be well...

call that following through??

Ok, I didn't stick to my list, I don't know why, guess I just like spreading things out and leaving myself the narrowest possible margins. Not the best idea when you're having to catch a flight. But tomorrow (today, Monday) I have the whole day more or less to declutter, pack and get my act together.

I just wish I had more time to spend on this site, I haven't been in the chatbox in ages now for lack of time :( and I miss the camaraderie!!!! The hotel should have wifi though so maybe I'll be able to catch up while I'm away...
