11.20 am Thursday

Mostly just showing up today. Yesterday was frustrating as an important (in my mind, anyway) meeting which I had been preparing for was cancelled as someone else had not booked in 'the boss'.

Today reverted to old pattern of sleeping in after staying up too late, but feeling good after atttending a health treatment, and have done some small domestic jobs.

Need to get back to my lists and make priorities.

Wishing you all a great day!

A local radio show used to stage a "Hump Attack" every Wednesday morning - it was hilarious theatre of the mind: There'd be a knock on the "studio door" with the classic "Jaws" 2-note stinger, and despite frantic warnings from the guy deejay, the girl deejay would give in, open the door, and be loudly attacked by The Hump, complete with screams and sounds of furniture breaking, etc.  Thanks for the happy memory, lennon!

Already today I've completed a 7-item writing task, did program calls, cleaned house, washed floors, done 2 loads of laundry,  unjammed the icemaker, set up J to easily pack for our trip, and swatted about 2 dozen email flies.  Still to come:

Breakfast
Narration
Print tickets for the ballgame
Confirm tomorrow and Friday appts at vet ctr
Pack the camper
Hook up truck to camper
Take car to meet kids and grands to watch ballgame
Leave ballpark by 3:30
Load dog in truck; pullout by 4:30
Drive 3 hours to campground
Set up - temp if dark
Make and eat dinner
Walk doggie
10:30 bedtime

a list I will stick to!!!!

  • go to daughter's school for academic review
  • go to meeting
  • stage 2 'pearl of wisdom': garner some info about a particular left-wing theatre company, including images
  • walk dogs
  • cook dinner
  • go to event I signed up for
  • stage 3 'pow': distil everything into an argument for artistic independence and for the funding of the arts to be an infrastructural investment, not a form of cultural censorship by the vested interests of the Establishment.
  • rehearse my presentation
  • go to bed!

And come Thursday, enjoy the satisfaction of getting part one of the assignment out of the way, and hopefully taking measures to ensure that part two is an easier process.
