Sunday, 29th Janury 2012

It's Sunday, day of rest. Welcome in!

My entry, 8:18 pm :).

I'm very delighted with yesterday's actions of mine. I did what I had to; woke up early and stood firmly with "just for today". I managed to do very well in concentrating once working. Distractions became less offensive, I stuck with my writings despite people coming into my house, but didn't act offensive towards them - maybe a little unattentive, but they understood :).

Sundays, I like to take them as a rest day, but I think I will try to do something productive with it. Maybe I'll continue with my lyrics, or maybe I'll try to record something, although brief in duration but potentially expansive, like a seed.

I've been moderating my habit indulgence. I'm tracking back my ways to enjoyment and good use of it. All sweet in excess get you into sickly tongue. No fun anymore.

I read a book instead of going to internet. This was very good since a book is easier to drop away and does good for you.

I pray for tomorrow I'll do the same as yesterday.

Thank everyone here. I read you, I don't answer because of fears I will use posting here for surfing without control for the rest of the day. But thank you really.

Fear is only a thought and as a thought you can ignore it.

tracy-la check in 1-29

I became obsessed with planning a trip to NYC these past 2 days -- I got it done but it took many hours since it's a group of 9 of us with our kids and others for spring break. Last year we went to DC and the advance planning helped. So i am 2 months ahead but have other things to do as well.

Now time to detach from that and get some other things done that I'd like to finish. Including my run for the day

 .P.A. Thought for the Day

What a load wasting money puts on your shoulders! They say that members of P.A. have paid the highest initiation fee of any club members in the world, because we've wasted so much money caused by procrastination -- late fees, penalties, money not earned or collected, etc. We'll never be able to figure out how much it was. We not only wasted our own money, but also the money we should have spent on our families. When you come into P.A., that terrible load of wasted money falls off your shoulders. We procrastinators were getting round-shouldered from carrying all those loads that procrastinating put on our shoulders. But when we come into P.A., we get a wonderful feeling of release and freedom. Can I throw back my shoulders and look the whole world in the face again?

Fudoshin: day 10

Please do not leave advice or feedback.  Thank you.  Prayers welcome.

Several things I want to accomplish:

1) do the reading prospective advisor asked me to do

2) run 2.5 miles

3) work on running plan, so tha I build time

4) consistently exercise at least 30 minutes per day.

5) get back on the right sleeping schedule

5) read my goals and affirmations daily.

6) Do step work, call Gaea

Roundand's check in

[1] make my first post in PA [done :)]

[2] spend 1 hour on project x prototype (see if GAE works locally, try removing node.js and re-running heroku toolbelt, try disconnecting from net and disabling windows firewall)

[3] spend 1 hour on project y (invite 2 judges, one mentor, one possible sponsor)

[4] take kid to park - kite?

[5] cook something nice for supper - lasagne?

Roundand's check out

[1] Did first post in PA (and followed it up with a check out)

[2] Spent more than 1 hour on project x but didn't take the steps I'd planned

[3] Spent more than 1 hour on project y and did 3 out of 4 invitations (but sponsor is the scariest)

[4] Did park trip and plenty of time with kid (including his reading homework)

[5] Helped W cook supper since she'd already planned roast chicken

Hmm.... thought I'd set myself a fairly low bar there. Scary.

The unexamined life is not worth living. The unlived life is not worth examining.
