Checking in, yesterday, seemed to help me a bit, so I'm doing it again, today. My list:

Not in the mood

Made it to Friday, but I feel "out of gas." Worked...correction: was *at* work...14 hours yesterday, only a part of it fairly productive. I am happy with that part, though, since I saw some real progress. But I went to bed late and am struggling this morning. Okay, onto the narrow path for a while.

Goal 1: Work on cases, up to 30 minutes max per case, then move on. 

Goal 2: Break about 1:15 PM for lunch; if time, work a little on office organization, as it looks terrible (ergo unprofessional) and I don't like what it "says" about me. I realize that the clutter in my office provide s a nice analogy to the clutter in my mind and approach to work. I need to cut through that, just as I am trying to simplify my approch to work. If not time for this around lunch, will work on this later.

Goal 3: Start again at 2:15 on long projects (all overdue), spend about 2 hours, make whatever progress possible

Goal 4: Try to transition smoothly (i.e., without a "letdown" between tasks) to more case reviews, stay with it until around 6:15 PM

Goal 5: Re-assess where I am around 6:15 - may want to wind down by doing a little office organizing, or self-development work, or take a dinner break and come back to the office

Goal 6: Leave by (or at) 8:30 PM, no matter what. Friday seems like a good day to practice that behavior, since the pressure of the next morning is eased somewhat

Goal 7: Go to bed by 11 PM. That will be tough for me on a Friday, but i would like to do some work AND have time for some guilt-free personal time this weekend, and that means I must forego going to bed in the wee hours and then beind a slug-a-bed in the mornings.

Today I need to:

*Work on analysis of R10 data (making good progress on this)
*Check on expts, do order

*Prep for MH practice
*Mtg w/ TH about girls group problems (with prep)
*Youth group, time w/ friends
*Go to seminar

OK, starting with the tally, then I'll work on R10 analysis.

Part-time job not working out.

Sister driving me crazy. I want to strangle her. I have to do things right away in my quest to earn money. Ssometimes I know that I'm unable to do things she tells me to, but need to investigate to prove it to her. One example would be to participate in a clinical trail for prescription medication. I'm on high blood pressure pills which disqualifies me. She doesn't know that I'm on Wellbutrin as she would tell me it's not working and have you told your doctor to switch your medication.

They didn't give me any hours next week in my part-time job. I know because I'm not doing a good job. I'm really stressed out because I'm being evaluated. Don't know what to tell my sister. I'll lie to her and say I'm working when I'm not. Hope they keep me on even if I don't get any hours. I'll apply to one of their competitors and stay with the company that gives me the most hours. I probably can't do both as I have to be available on weekends.

My to do list:

  • Buy mailing labels for my sister (when I leave my place at 4:30 pm)
  • Review emails and reply, when necessary
  • Apply to s job
  • Review work notes
  • Check in once a day
  • Do not take any phone calls from my sister

Very difficult to get anything else accomplished today as I'm concerned the supermarket won't take me on. Need to look for other work anyway!
