Really, self, you WILL feel better if you exercise! Go do it, o.k.?
Falcon
Update: See, self? I told you you'd feel better after exercising! But jeez, my no-net-surfing resolution is driving me nuts already! I'm tempted to go surf away. But I don't need to do that. I'm going to go get something to eat, then call the credit card company.

You will never "find" time for anything, if you want time you must make it.
And just how do you make time?
It's made in your mind. By slowing down. Paradoxically. By creating your day. By being ruthless. Cutting out the unnecessary.
Instead of letting your calendar abuse you, and letting people use you. Why do you let all these other people clutter up your day? Because you want to please them? Because you believe their approval is everything?
I have never seen a greater time-waster than people pleasing. The nervous habit of scurrying around trying to win the approval of others. Answering all their emails the minute they come in, taking their every call, fulfilling every request . . . interrupting myself and my own dream over and over.
There's no time left for achievment. For creation.
On this matter of people-pleasing, I learned from Byron Katie. . . . Katie says, "God spare me from hth desire for love, approval and appreciation. This would be my one prayer because the answer to this prayer brings the end of time and space."
So Katie, what is there when there is no time and space? She says there is energy, love's pure energy. She says, "It's the energy of pure unlimited mind, set free in all its power and goodness."

A late start today (didn't get into work until 10:30), but that's OK.
Today I need to:
*Work on comp. analysis of Rdh10 data
*Post ambig. picts
*Score new sample
*Check on expts (working on this now) *Coffee with a friend
*Gym
*30 min work on cleaning
Making slow progress after last month's work collapse. But it is progress. Managed to get myself to bed at a reasonable hour, arrived at work *before* 8 AM today. However, spent a couple of hours handling personal items, so just getting this horse to water was clearly only a first step. Nonetheless, it's "only" 10:15ish despite my dawdling and that's a great time to focus and get cracking, at least for me. At my recent depths, I couldn't get on task until mid-afternoon some days. Anyway, back onto the narrow path.
Goal 1: Work up to 30 minutes on a case, move on, even if not done; continue for at least 5 cases.
Goal 2: Lunch break approximately 1:30 to 2:15 PM
Goal 3: More cases, up to 30 minutes each, 2:30 to 5 PM
Goal 4: Long projects (overdue), chip away from 5 to 6:30 PM
Goal 5: Dinner break, 6:30 to 7:15 PM
Goal 6: Organizing chaotic desk, maybe some study time to bolster my skill set, 7:15 to 8:15 PM
Goal 7: Go home at a reasonable hour; since I was here before 8 AM, 8:15 PM is over a 12 hour day, and I have to learn to work effectively, then call it a day rather than continue to trickle on at a slow rate until late
Goal 8: Free time after work for phone calls, TV, whatever
Goal 9: Bed by 11 PM
Always looks good in print, but harder to live it. Back to report.
Part-time job is exhausting. I'm so wound up when I get home I can't get to sleep. I'm not catching on as fast as I need to so I will go in early to review what we've done so far.
I did catch up somewhat today after a bad day yesterday, and I am nearly ready for a day at my client's office tomorrow. Won't be logging in from there as it is open plan! At least once I get myself organised to go there I usually put in a solid day.
So this is really my check in for tomorrow (Friday in my part of the world).
