Potential Phone Meeting?

I would like to get a movement for a meeting on Fridays in the evening, around 9pm EST.  I think it would be helpful for those of us on the West Coast of the USA.  It would also help  jumpstart my weekend.

If there were a Friday evening chat meeting at 9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific time, I think I'd attend about twice a month. Did you particularly want the meeting to happen ovr phone rather than chat?

I am putting it out there

I am putting it out there as a possibility to see what people's interest is : phone or chat . I don't think I have a strong preference as there are advantages to both.  If it's over the phone, I can attend the meeting from anywhere, but I have to have my paperwork to be prepared.  If it's on the chat, I can do it as a brief break from work or I can do it at home, and then, it's a lot less intimidating for those who feel more comfortable with online meetings.  I guess it really could go either way.  The phone meetings are a little more personal and a bit more real, so they have their advantages too.

My initial suggestion was geared at having a phone meeting on Friday evening at 9pm EST.  Let me know if anyone else is interested.   It would help me to have a meeting on Friday evenings.

Journey 10 am

After getting an early start the past couple of days, running late today.   I think I like starting earlier better.   I mean, I don't LIKE it, but I think it makes me more productive lol.

I have a 3 hour meeting this afternoon bah so this morning I need to devote myself to reviewing the plans for the weekend install and make sure everything is good to go, then I intend to leave after the horrid long boring meeting.

Today is a busy day...I need to leave lab at 5:30 since I'm going away this weekend, so I must be efficient.

Need to:
*Gather material for h.f, send out recommendation requests (working on this now)
*Check, cf (working on this now)
*Submit for histology, clean off my bench (working on this now)
*Think about 3rd project, look into Rdh10 and Gcnf (will do this soon)
*Finish rough draft of presentation (made a bunch of progress on this)
*Email mc, email about ecad

Hey there,


I haven't checked in for a while. Today feels like it might help. It's Friday and I don't want to waste it - neither the time I spend at my job nor my leisure time.


These are things I want to achieve today:


  • forgot that, again! make a couple of appointments
  • Smile write a (late) B-day card to a friend and post it
  • Smile post a book for my gran
  • not very realistic for today any more, if i don't get it done, i can also do it over the next week do the weekend cleaning so that I'll be free on Saturday and Sunday
  • *committing to that* i need to take better care of myself! prepare a decent diner for myself
  • watch a movie


  • Smile complete the feedback sheets I was supposed to hand in last week
  • Smile check my mailbox once that is done, which I have avoided for this very reason for more than a week! (feeling quite anxious about this particular task)
  • Smile (made a start on that, completion wasn't realistic for today) work on an overview for follow-up on P
  • complete the F reports, start the S reports


I will make a list now when I need to do what and will try to keep on track with the help of the chatbox.

13. Shred some important papers

14. Skin chicken

15. Go to work at 5:30 p.m.

16. Go to the 10 p.m. telephone DA meeting

17. Post and send out Al-Anon literature for today

18. Look at the checklist on the Third Step
