  • PA check In 2

  • Plan for tomorrow

additionally accomplished:

  • clean part of the fridge

  • cook dinner

  • do dishes immediatly after dinner

  • buy needed item online (thereby
saved time not having to go to the shop)

  • take out garbage

  • overcome frustration of having
started way to late and motivated myself to do check-in anyway

Thanks for letting me share!

Major setback today, couldn't get
myself to do the check in until now. I'll do it anyway, even if it's
already late, since I'm trying to create a habit here.

Then again, I managed to do some
(albeit small) things, that I usually have difficulty with, like
doing the dishes immediately after having dinner.

I'd love to be able one day to
structure my day reasonably and then follow through on my plans,
without being forced to do so by outside pressure.

Thanks for letting me share and peace
to everyone!

Just two more week days!!

Worked Overtime again! Everything in moderation including work! Well, tell my boss that...hard for an overindulger to do!  Anyway, I am home now and want to do nothing but Iknow that there will be consequences if I do...so...what Ineed to do:

5:20 go to fp

6:00 print discussion questions and watch presentation

6:30 go to meeting

feeling under pressure...I can only do what I can do...I need to just relax, breathe, and know that the world will not end if I go to bed with an imperfect house...there is only so much time in a day...Thank you PA for being here for me to put the stirrings in my head in print...a problem shared is a problem cut in half...

So, then, I go to a meeting and the topic is accountability!

Some good points I want to remember:

men with the men, women with the women

better to share with someone other than your significant other

have to get to the point where you are willing to do whatever it takes to stay accountable!

there is always the choice not to repeat the behavior...no matter how overwhelming the temptation to act out...

and that's what it is...a temptation...which is just the human condition...having a temptation is not bad...choosing to give in to the temptation is the problem...

there are things we can do to avoid repeating the behavior...

stay focused on the better behavior

hang out with people who choose the better behavior...

so, how does this relate to procrastination? I need t hang out with people who are choosing not to procrastinate...thus PA...I need to focus on not procrastinating...either by writing about my action plan or reading about how other people structure their time productively...for me: PA, FLYLady...

ok, enough babling...time to relax and let it soak in...

Good (barely, still) morning, all. Edge, I am very fond of your quote about action reducing anxiety. I am not the tattooing sort, butif I ever get one, that is a candidate. I'm hanging in. Not a lot new. Much work to do. Show to rehearse for tonight. I guess I'd better get back to it. Hope all are well.

I did make the call yesterday to sign up for class for myself starts Thursday. Grateful it was not too late.

Started home cyber school with my son yesterday- they messed up so much. Gave him 2 English classes, we have not received the books yet, his advisor is gone, etc. got through yesterday. Feeling angry and tired.

Spent all morning on computer, now start math lesson, 2 calls and 2 stores today.

Today- I hope I can be the person my dog thinks I am.

Journey 9:45

In the office today.  I feel really tired, and I am going to try to leave a bit early today and relax this evening and go to bed early.   I think I have reached the point of diminishing returns on working extra hours on this project, it's time to recharge a bit.   I have a thing at lunch today and I will finish one big task on my big project and call it a day.

OK, have been goofing off for a bit, but at least I'm in lab early today!

Trying to train myself to focus--with my new apt/neighborhood/longer commute I can't spend as much time in lab, so I need to get my work done more efficiently.
