Show up and suit up (done)

I needed a change and have been bookending with others as a tool to "show up" which was a nice change, for awhile. Ever so grateful for the PA site to check in, it is pretty reliable and that is what I need most as a way to connect and reaffirm the truth of recovery for me.

BB says: " Burn the idea into the consciousness of new prospects that they can get well, regardless of anyone else. Job or no job, spouse or no spouse, they cannot stop drinking as long as they place dependence on other people ahead of dependence on God. Their recovery is not dependent upon other people. It is dependent on their own relationship to God."

Feeling overwheamed with so many loose ends. Things I procrastinated on and now double work. fines, etc. The self loathing, and self flagelltion  is making it worse. Back on my knees, in the "rooms" with people who understand, where I need to be and grateful to be here.

Feeling a little scattered today...I moved yesterday and now I feel really disconnected from lab:
Going to pick some simple tasks to work on. Not going to get too much done, since I have plenty of non-work stuff to do and also I'm feeling really scattered and panicked, but I want to do SOMETHING:
*Check on expts, cf
*Start genotyping
*Read 2 papers
*Update records
*Submit histology

OK, starting w/ checking on expts

Journey 10 am

I'm feeling sorry for myself because I have to work this weekend and everyone else is off :(   But it will be ok, at least it got me out of having to go to a NASCAR event.  Dragon Con is here and everyone is partying all around midtown and I'm working my proverbial a$$ off.

Ok, enough of the pity party!  I have two more installs to do on top of the base system and I want to get as far as I can with them before Tuesday.   Monday is a holiday but i am sure I will  be working at least part of the day.   It's supposed to rain all day anyway.
