Wednesday 17th August

It is hump day again

Half done (we hope) and half to do

Lets be doing

Oops

Oops - wrong day

Journey 8pm

Well I thought I checked in today, but I guess I didn't.   I had a very good day for a work from home day.   I felt energetic and I got a lot of work done and did some household chores during my work breaks, made a nice dinner and did the dishes.

Now I'm going to go try to finish my book which was due back at the library yesterday!

before bed time EDITED ONE

wrkinprogrss: 08/17/11

Well, I did a little better on productivity, yesterday, despite also doing plenty of procrastinating. Hoping today will be still better.

Question about these posts: Does replying to a check-in comment prevent the author of that comment from editing it further? Thanks in advance.

TODAY, I will:

check SR
post this at PA

check balance mindmap

attend 9:00 meeting
 pursue fix for bad build
continue making progress on rough-drafting doc changes for review. Micro-steps to consider:

  • decide whether the item needs a new section--if so, create it (2x)
  • put "comment" notes in the appropriate section (2x)
  • convert comment notes to draft text plus questions for reviewers (10 minutes at a time, as needed) (2x)
  • commit the file(s) (2x)
  • repeat the four micro-steps above, for each item
  • start a manual build and inspect results
  • draft and send email to reviewers asking for immediate feedback

shower, wash hair, and eat (some eating done, but not very wisely)
make 20min kitchen progress
reply to J's email

 attend group therapy
do at least 15 minutes of Qi Gong exercises (I think)
use the Balancer
be in bed w/o lights or audio by midnight

I PREFER to accomplish at least some of the following, too:

unload dishwasher
cook rhubarb

buy printer paper
think re &/or experiment w/ dance solo
start zine

Pressing on

Did pretty well yesterday, helped along by some positive words from Studentessa. Managed to work on 10 cases, left work at 9 PM. Did not meet the goals of 16 cases and leaving by 7:30 - 8 PM, but pretty good progress. I feel much better about where those 10 cases are today than I did this time yesterday. Some are finished, and all have progressed. Okay, time to press on. Some difficulty getting focused and started today. I am feeling a little tired. Since I managed 10 cases yesterday, today the goal is 12. I want to get to 16, but it doesn't have to be today. I do want to hit the time target today for leaving work by 7:30 - 8 PM. Back to report.

Scribbler's Hump Day CI 9:30 a.m.

Life feels somewhat out of control lately. I may be able to get back on top by focusing on making sure I have all appointments and schedule changes and so forth entered in Outlook. It may just be lingering fallout from vacation. We'll see...
