A Rose is a Rose is a Rose ...

Didn't get here yesterday. Already mid-afternoon, here, today. Have been feeling a lot of internal conflict. But I'm here now as evidence that I at least intend to move in the right direction.

Done so far, today:

  • Research for co-worker S
  • Significant research and form-filling for new hardware (Finish is waiting on open Q to mgr)
  • Made a phone date with J
  • Nudged R re final details for planned photo session
  • Arranged to skip weekly spreadsheet update
  • Posted at SR
  • Confirmed dentist appointment


Definitely need and plan to do today:

  • Shower
  • Eat and take prescriptions
  • Respond to co-worker B's question and comments about wiki
  • Draft and send weekly status report
  • Meet R for photo session
  • Go to dance class


Would be good to do some of these things, too:

  • Check my balance mindmap
  • Do at least 4.6 hours of job work (wip)
  • Finish wiki action item (good enough)
  • Finish hardware purchase action items (note: include explicit OS request)
  • Make significant progress on bug-filing
  • Do 15 minutes of Qi Gong
  • Use the Balancer
  • Do a Mood Log exercise or some other recovery-oriented activity
  • Wash my hair
  • Cook rice and artichokes
  • Make progress on kitchen clean-up
  • Be in bed with lights and sound off by 12:30am

I want to thank my Higher Power for this program, this website, the telephone and online meetings, and my life.

I want to thank Rosebud for starting this trend.

Things I have done today

1. Took shower

2. Got dressed

3. Went to individual therapy at 10 a.m.

4. Went to the library and returned books

5. Printed some copies

6. Did business at Financial Aid

7. Ate brunch

8. Went to get medicine

9. Went to Voc Rehab to give my SAR report

10. Went to the bank and did business

11. Sent out two Al-Anon e-mail for today

Things I will do today

1. Cook and eat dinner

2. Post and send out an Al-Anon e-mail for today

3. Do numbers

4. Go to the 8 p.m. face to face NA meeting

5. Take out trash

6. Go to the 10 p.m. telephone CLA meeting

7. Go to the 11 p.m. telephone ACA meeting

Finally finished a

Finally finished a volunteer newsletter that was several months late. Now it's gone for review and should be finished with minor edits for the weekend. Instead waiting for the next morning to do the edits, I'll tackle them right away.

I didn't get anything - other than my run - done yesterday, but I'm feeling pretty good I can tackle the job search again.

Even though it's 1:30 now, I feel I can get quite a bit more work done today.

1:30 pm to 4:00 pm - Search jobs, update spreadsheet and apply to at least 2 jobs. Eat lunch when hungry.

4:00 pm - Call friend ME.

4:15 - 6:30 - apply for 2 more jobs.

6:30 - 8:00 - go for walk, dinner, call friend CW

8:00 - 9:00 - Dishes, tidy front hall, put away trigger food, shred confidential stuff in recycling box.

Evening - To do list for Friday

Journey 9:30

Happy Thursday!   I'm back in the office today and I was later than I wanted to be as usual, but I'm giving myself a break for the rest of the week since I'm coming back from an illness and I'm used to sleeping in.   Yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I'm currently working on getting out of the bed and into the bathroom by 5:30, and getting out the door to the gym by 6:30.  Today I left at 6:41.

I got here just in time for a 9:30 conference call so I'm doing that now, then I will make todo list for the day and check back if I get stuck.   Have a productive and enjoyable day everyone!

Yesterday evening I posted an intention for today:  

  • Spend less time with computer
  • Sort and toss some plants (or I can just place them among the bushes)
  • Plus everything else I do on a daily basis
So far today I have:
  1. Got up very early
  2. Made coffee
  3. Unloaded dishwasher
  4. Had breakfast and meds
  5. Aired out bedroom
  6. Plants survey
  7. Swept outside deck
Next:
  1. Make my bed
  2. Tidy up sewing table
  3. Think abut what to do after that 
Later: I was just going to have a small rest - and fell asleep!! Next:
  1. Drink more coffee
  2. Make my bed
  3. Get dressed
  4. General tidy up
Above is done. More  tidy up to do 
  1. Plant care. Filled up water tub for watering flowers
  2. Made dinner, had dinner & dessert and coffee
  3. Started dishwasher
  4. Started load of laundry
