There are small spots of beauty in my overgrown "jungle" of a garden. And there are weeds everywhere. Let us keep our eyes open to those small moments of beauty, quiet and peace, each in our own "jungle of a life"!

My schedule has been getting really crazy...stayed up until 2 last night, didn't get up until 9:30, so I'm just now starting work.

I MUST get to bed at a reasonable hour (12:30 at the latest) tonight.

Today I need to:
*Check on expts
*Mail samples
*Download sorted gc data, redo top analysis and meiosis analysis, check in w/ EA (turns out these data are awful, so I can't use them)
*Look at slide (oh gosh, not sure I'll have time to do this)
*Assess gels and make a plan
*Email about bus, email D

OK, starting by downloading sorted gc data.

Rexroth Check Out

Some of above and friend came round and asked to help looking for something I had lost and turned the place upsidedown and left me with a heck of a mess which I have not yet sorted out. He did warn me and I should have and maybe should have said stop but I didn't so it is my responsibility. Finally we did not find what we were looking for which I expect will now turn up.
I've got all my expedition kit out and done a final short todo list which I can post tomorrow as I am now tired out.

Prayer and reflection
Bed and sleep

Night Everyone

Hypatia's check-in

Gorgeous picture - I do love fuschias.

I've got an office morning, though started late as my husband was unwell.  office mornings are always a problem for me as they are so unstructured.  The chatbox was very helfpul yesterday, so I'l probably spend much of the morning in there too.

  • prepare reports for Tuesday meeting
  • AH forms
  • prepare reports for Wednesday meeting
  • check typing
  • read panel papers for Tuesday
  • read panel papers for Wednesday

Rosebud, Friday, July 15 2011

Yesterday was a "successful" day, in that I got up early and got a lot of things done. But when the evening came, it was difficult to sleep. It is that way sometimes, when we have worked too hard for too long.
