Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
Ha! I remember that too Hypatia. I was a pretend hippie back in the day.
Yesterday was an ok day, although I was a bit scatterbrained and forgetful due to being tired. I still feel tired today even after a good night's sleep and a good workout, and I have to work this weekend - but the weekend work will not be nearly as complex as it was orginally supposed to be, so that's good. I know I will be prone to making mistakes today so I will take it slow and double check everything.
My daughter is going home today too and I confess I'm a bit happy to see her go. I miss her but not her messiness lol. I'm used to my house and kitchen staying reasonably neat now and I don't like having to constantly pick up after her or remind her to pick up after herself. I figured she would get better at being neat since she has to clean her own apartment now but, not so much.
I'm in a really foul mood today too so maybe I will make some war not love today haha. I'm about to have 4change's breakfast of champions, diet coke and advil, and make my todo list. I've done 1 MIT already, first thing - and I did start on my todo list yesterday so hopefully I can cut the planning time down a bit today.

Thanks for getting us going, Hypatia. I pretty much blew it yesterday afternoon after a good start. I'll try to do better today. I'm going to move some of my more urgent and important tasks to the morning. It's good to have some routine tasks early, because it's energizing to check things off. But it can be overdone. We'll see how it goes...

Bookending ... I over scheduled today. I got a lot done, including writing three articles start to finish, although I didn't complete or even start on several important tasks. Overall a good day. I can eat dinner with a clean conscience.
Had a crazy busy day Thursday, and didn't meet most of my new objectives.
7/7-7/8: Objectives: Met?
Eliminate unnecessary internet at work: Yes
Time tracking: Yes
Email 4x work/2x personal (@ work): Yes/Yes
Work 12 hours max: No (13 hours)
Daily personal time: No
Sleep 8 hours min: No (7 hours - not toobad, but would still benefit from 8)
Early to rise: Later than Thursday (6:45 AM)
Early to work: Later than Thursday (8:30 AM)
Early putting plan into action: Yes! (9 AM)
So, back at it again; same goals. Hopefully, I can use the weekend to model positive behaviors and avoid falling into a procrastination trap. I know only too well that, without a concerted effort to keep a tight rein I slip into counterproductive, mutually reinforcing patterns on multiple fronts. We'll see.
Done:
Up prayer and reflection
Bath and wash hair
Checked emails and post
Washed up from yesterday
Checked letter and phone CAB leave message
Phoned travel insurers for copy of their policy
Found old sweater that I intended to wash and repair to take away and find I had already washed it
Todo:
Get dressed and ready
Go out for dentist appointment
I'm not sure what else - I have many small bits of admin and at the moment my brain is not working properly
Done:
Above and no dental work is needed except a visit to hygienist next week
I had spent time stidying French this morning and had fogotten to post it
Home and cooked supper and checked emails and phone where there are no messages
Todo:
A bit of tidying up
Check and post progress on going away - now seven weeks away
Rest I am very tired
Done:
Posted progress and todo on other thread
A little,very little, tidying
Friend phoned and came round with benefits letter which will need about two hours of my work to sort out and I don't feel like it but at least I do not need to do it tonight
Prayed and reflected - I very much needed to as I am stressed and tired
it's 11am on Friday and I have the rest of the day as an office day. This is a dangerous situation for me, as although it's when I can catch up with my paperwork, it also triggers massive procrastination. Experience earlier this week suggests that I do better with a short list of tasks, and then add to them if I've got time, otherwise I just depress myself with my lack of achievement.
