Please do not leave advice. Thank you. Prayers welcome.
I am making a commitment with you all to wake up at 6:40am tomorrow and make a couple of eggs and take my vitamins. I need to apply at the rental assistance agency tomorrow.
I have just completed 2 very busy and fairly productive days - Monday at my client's office and Tuesday (yesterday for me) doing some field visits with an associate. Also have been getting over a cold, so am allowing myself some slack today.
Things I have done today:
finalised order of components for my son to make me a new computer - we seem to have been discussing this for ever so glad it is finalised
email re work reference
not much else!
Today I would really like to:
email S and J re references
do cleaning
go for bike ride
ring C this evening
fix up my lists
organise a lunch with L
handwashing
check shops in S online - cameras, T and M.
do timesheet
bring in washing
transfer data
transcribe notes
transfers from USB
put stuff away from yesterday
I hope that is everything - it looks like quite enough!
- review h. issues and send out email
- rerun mig. for O. coll.
- investigate dob issue
- investigate folder prev/next issue
- fix drilldown/num cases issue
- review code for testable fix
- set up rm
- transfer requirements to rm
- generate estimates in rm
- investigate broken coll. in pub.
5 personal tasks:
- bring items to thrift store
- clean office
- practice guitar
- exercise/stretch
- read for 3/4 hr
Reading about the Breakout Principle, really seems to be true for me and back up with 30 years of scientific research Of which Dr.Bensen has participated , research includes physiological and neurological measurements, for me, kind of helps define things, much of findings from the studies are identical to what I have observed to work for me.
No surgery for hubby today - doing some other treatment first then maybe surgery in a month. So time to regroup. I took the day off to take care of him but now he doesn't need taking care of lol. I think I'll just take half a day of vacation and work this afternoon, rather than try to make up for this morning. Or I'll cancel vacation and let the time I worked over the weekend make up for it. Yeah, that's the ticket!
Back noonish with a todo list.
Update 2 pm 1 of 4 MITs completed
I'm really not feelin' it today. I don't like changing horses in midstream like this. I like to plan my day and then stick to my plan as much as possible. When plans change it really throws me.
Update 2:45 2 of 4 MITs completed
Update 3:45 3 of 4 MITs completed
Update 6 pm and CO: all 4 MITs completed but the last one was a struggle, and I didn't get as far as I would have liked. But I did get some work done this afternoon in spite of the abrupt schedule change. So.
Now I'm going to go throw some frozen burgers on the grill for dinner. I'm hungry!

Avoiding the truth consumes great effort and energy. - Jim Loehr
Late start today (intentional--I'm pretty sick so I figured I need to sleep).
I need to take care of myself to make sure that I get better ASAP. That means that I need to make time for a healthy lunch, that I should leave work by 7:45 at the ABSOLUTE latest, that I need to get some gentle exercise in the evening, and that I should be in bed by 11:15.
That limits the time I have to work, so I need to be VERY efficient.
The highest priority is sectioning/staining/staging project. For today, I need to do remaining sectioning and to photo/stage 1. (going to work on staging now)
I also have to quickly look over proofs.
Lower priority things: check on expts (want to update records so I can do this first-thing tomorrow), ask about pos. control probe, figure out whether I have DNA (want to get this done), do 50 min of work on write-up.
Once I'm home, I need to have scary convo with roomie about moving (eek!), and send email about dinner party (lots more fun).
OK, starting with proofs, then I'll go do sectioning (if machine is free), take photos and have lunch.
Yes, Rosebud, that's us. We are busy bees. Gotta buzz on now.

It didn't get a couple of important things done today, primarily applying for new health insurance. But I did write three articles start to finish, which is not a bad session of work. I think I'll call it a day and try to hit it similarly hard tomorrow.
