Journey 9:30

Ugh I didn't get enough sleep and my dog threw up on my bedroom floor during the night :(  not a good start to the day.  The good news is that my husband is the one in the family who cleans up dog mess, God bless him.

My work went well last night - we did two servers and I trained a co-worker to do this particular task so that's also a good thing - he can do some of them in the future so I don't have to work every fricken weekend of my life lol.  I'll be working a lot of weekends in the fall but I hope I'll have most of July and August weekends off.

Anyway, today is the trip to the other side of town to visit my daughter.  My husband is driving so I hope to be able to nap during the 1.5 hr. drive each way.  The dogs and I have been on a short walk and I watered the neighbors plants for the last time, they are coming home tomorrow.  I also fed the birds.   Now I have about an hour to get ready and do a few small chores before leaving - I'll get cleaned up and dressed and then pack my work and gym bags for tomorrow.    I'll make up the beds and fold some laundry if there is time left.   I want to plan to do not much of anything tonight after we get home.

Rosebud, Saturday June 25, 2011. My day

It is now 08:29 PM my local time. I am new at this. It might have been better to start the list earlier on.

Instead I have "done things" all day, with only small interruptions (editing along the way, green means Done)

  1. Got up, regular morning routine, breakfast, meds, checked posts, made my bed etc. etc.
  2. Tidied up in garden (not done - always more to do)
  3. Packed junk to be driven to the dump on Monday
  4. Washed one load of laundry
  5. Started another load of launry
  6. Folded and put away dry laundry
  7. Prepared dinner
  8. Small tidy up after dinner (more to do)
  9. Plant care and arrangements
  10. Wrote some posts

Probably did things in between also, which I have forgotten about

To do - before going to bed:

  1. More tidy up in kitchen
  2. Fold second load of clothes and put away
  3. Put wet laundry into dryer
  4. Quick tidy up living room
  5. Have another look at form I am planning to work on
  6. Have a shower, change clothes
  7. Maybe watch some TV, or surf a little, or go straight to bed

Today is a pretty busy day and I'm getting a late start.

I'm getting lunch with a friend this afternoon.

For self-care stuff: I want to pray, set up dinner party w/ friends for next sat, go grocery shopping and do some healthy cooking for the week, take care of my garden, finish unpacking, make sure to have brought in the mail.

For work:
Email EA (will do this soon)
Restore
genotype/run gel (will do this soon)
Email PJ
See whether I have DNA, start collection if necessary
Review proofs of article(have started this)

OK, right now I'm going to go pray.

Rexroth Check In

Thanks for starting lennon

Done:
Up prayers and reflection
Emails read including a difficult one from a friend
Out and try to buy new trainers
Bought some more medicines (must remember to call them medicines not drugs) for my trip
Attended and shared at DA meeting and kept quiet during group conscious
Tried another chemist on the way home for medicine not available in first chemist
Home to a poisonous letter about legal/buiness matters which I would be so glad were finished
Also a letter regarding a dispute with my bank which is easy for me to deal with
Devote ten minutes to feeling sorry for myself
Remind myself that drinking a bottle of wine and/or eating a lot will not get me where I want to be nor resolve any problems I have

Todo:
Rest and take it easy - I have done a lot this last week
Look at todo list for next week as I shall be very busy tomorrow

It is getting hot and humid in London town

Regards Rexroth

Journey 9 am & updates

I have to work tonight 10 pm - midnight, so I slept in a little bit today.   I watered my neighbor's plants and took a short walk with the dogs, then got my daughter's prescription transferred down here so I can pick it up (and pay for it!) and take it to her tomorrow.

I'm going to take a nice walk/jog in the park for an hour, then finish up my grocery list, take a shower and go out to buy groceries and visit my mom.

Tomorrow will be a trip to the other side of town to take some clothes and stuff to my daughter but hubby is driving so it will be a relaxing trip for me.

Today I need to do a general straightening and dusting of the house since we'll be gone tomorrow and I expect I'll be too tired to do any cleaning tomorrow.

I'll check in after errands - have a good weekend.

Update 4:30 - I've been to the pharmacy, visted mom, and shopped for groceries.  Taking a 10 minute break then I will put away the groceries, do a bit of straightening and then make a nice dinner.   My husband is having outpatient surgery on Tuesday so I'm trying to be extra nice to him :).   I work at 10 pm and it should be done by midnight or shortly after.
