re-centering

As some of you may know, I'm working on re-centering myself and re-establishing a better balance in my life which had gotten too focused on study.

I am thinking today that I really need to write down more exactly/specifically what I want to do with this time away from class in order to achieve that centering/balance, i.e. not just "be more active" but exactly HOW I'm going to be more active, and when. That includes giving thought to what activities are most enjoyable for me and how I can increase my involvement in those. Not just "take more time for things that are just fun", but put some thought into what fun things I want to do this spring/summer.

Although the idea isn't to make a list of new projects to fill that time, I do want to be sure the time doesn't just drift by and I end up back in classes without having satisfied the cravings for these things I have been neglecting. Also trying to re-establish them as equally valid priorities that I should be including in my life even once I do go back to studies.

I don't feel I need to post the list here, I think just posting the resolve to do this will be sufficient to motivate me to actually make the list.

Journey 10:45

Did all right working from home yesterday.   Not great, but not terrible.

Today, I've been to the gym, read email, made my todolist and schedule.  Off to work on building a test system, then have a luncheon for a coworker that is retiring.  Back after lunch

Scribbler's Hump Day CI 8:23 a.m.

Still blue here, despite surviving nameless Tuesday. Katia, I'm not wild about Terrific Tuesday, although Taco Tuesday shows promise. What else you got?  Meanwhile, financial woes worsen. I meet with my new business and life coach Friday to discuss budgeting and debt reduction, both good topics. I plan to do something today to collect from people who owe me, which is more relevant to my situation at this instant. If only everybody would pay me, THEN I'd be happy. Yeah, right. There is always -- always -- something to be unhappy about. The key, it seems, is (almost) always to simply decide to be happy in spite of having something to be unhappy about. With that in mind...

"fall down seven times, get up eight" - japanese proverb

thanks vic

Your post encouraged me, and reminded me of a song that has encouraged me much the same way: "Never Let Go" by David Crowder Band http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hx5Y9DhoLJQ

Show up (done) Grateful for maintaining my basics and connecting at PA. Dr. appt today need to get ready so not be late. So many issues going on with teen son. I need to remember "We do not lead others into the Light by stepping into the darkness with them." M. Beattie.  I need to remember my HP is faithful, has never let me down, that is how I stay in the light.

PM Check in, My HP has a sense of humor. Got to dr. office on time, but it was vacant- they moved!!. But God is faithful his sign was still up with his phone number, so I got the new location. They said I have not been there since 2008, and I said wow, time flys when you are healthy, got some medicine and just need to be patient while my system gradually gets normal again. However, he set up bloodwork and testing for both my husband and myself, that I have been putting off for years, so my HP used this to do for me what I could not do for myself.
