Working a little late, since I came in late. Was doing well on the programming but got stuck on a hardware malfunction. Tried to resolve it myself but I think I'm going to have to send it back for repair. ACK. Maybe there is some other little piece of the programming I can work on in the meantime?

Things I chose to do so far today:
- Breakfast
- Dr Appt.
- Email catchup
- CUOP (partial)
- Status report
- Lunch - somehow I never have trouble motivating myself for meals.
- Programming (2 hours 15 minutes)
- Update project plan
- Source code check-in #1

Things I still hope to get done:
- Programming ?
- Source code check-in #2

What I've accomplished today:

- Made and drank coffee.
- Made and drank tea.
- Took out pills for day.
- Swallowed morning pills.
- Took nap.
- Ordered in food.
- Watched dumb TV shows from bed.

To Do

- Take midday pills.
- Another nap?
- Take evening pills.

I hope this illness (whatever it is) doesn't last too long. I discovered when I ordered in food (soup) that talking is quite painful. My throat is a mess. I'm not sure, but I think my fever may be down - I don't feel as feverish as I did before.

Hi from slider

Not really a check-in for accountability purposes, just to let you all know I'm still around. Dealing with my aunt is taking up a fair amount of time (at least it did for several days--time-binging on all aspects of her condition, social services available, etc., plus trying to contact people who know her, agencies, churches, etc.). I have chosen to pay her rent for the month, to give her a little more time to stabilize. Anxiety really throws her for a loop when she's manic--brings on some of the craziest delusions. I am hoping her meds will kick in and her sensibility will return and she will get herself on the list for housing. She cannot afford the place where she is. I cannot help her any further with rent, either. But I feel better for at least giving it a try this way this time. My dad and I may yet have to go up there next month and put all her stuff in storage and get her court-committed to a hospital and try to get her into a halfway house or something. I hope she doesn't bring home any dangerous roommates in the meantime.

Don't have time to cuop for previous days, though I browsed a few topics of interest. Best wishes to everyone. Welcome to newcomers. Will get back into groove asap.

Today is going to be pretty much a complete write off- i woke up feeling on otp of the world, but before i made it to the kitchen my back all locked up - got a rib out of align.- and Man the pain is killer. So i got in at the chiro's office but am still hurting pretty bad. Atleast now I feel like I can breathe again though. If you've ever had a rib out you know what I mean by you can't breathe. anyhow. I did get the kitchen straightened up from Breakfast but other than that I have just been resting and alternating b/t cold and hot packs on my back. ARGH. It's so dang frustrating... I have all this stuff that i want to get done and could if my back would behave like a 30- something's back should. I am getting help now though, just have to patient and wait for it to work.

can't sleep

I'm just lying here feeling like crap. Can't do anything and can't sleep. Have headache - from fever, I think. Advil did nothing.

I did finally nap - felt a little better when I woke up. I ordered in some food (soup).

I have a pretty gross cough. I wonder if what I have is bronchitis rather than the flu. I got bacterial bronchitis last year and it was kind of like this. Last time I had to take antibiotics. I'll wait a few days before calling the doctor and see if I get better.

Hi hi hi, I'm back from vacation. I had two meeting in a row this morning and then I checked my personal email, so I'm just now getting to stuff.

My goal before eating lunch is to look at my to-do list and plan my week, then I'll post a list for the rest of today.

Right now, taking my pills feels like an enormous frog to me. I have to make myself do that, much as I don't want to. My throat is all screwed up. I want a nap - maybe I'll require pills before nap.

Rexroth update 21.39 BST

I went to the class and it was great. Forgot I was ill for most of the time. I've cleaned an old light source (can't think of a better word for it) which I had left batteries in which had corroded. Also bought some bread. I'm now for bed and to finish writing my journal etc. Night night Rexroth

My old futon hurt my back so much that I had to lay on pillows. My back still hurts - don't know if it's from the flu, or from sleeping on a dreadful mattress for so long.

Where is everybody today?

One thing I want to make sure to do today is take my pills. Often when I'm sick I don't. I just took out today's pills. I haven't swallowed my morning pills yet, though.

I'm weirdly unhungry. I had some coffee and I'm about to make a pot of tea (my throat is a mess), but I haven't had anything to eat yet.

I'm writing this from bed - took my Mac and Mac books to bed with me. Maybe I'll try to learn some more Mac stuff.

pro's first (and possibly last) check-in - 7:30am

I'm not going to bookend today. I'm pretty sick. It feels more like the flu than a cold.

I went to bed early last night, but I didn't sleep well - kept tossing and turning. I was up at 7:15am - not too bad.

I'm going to be spending the day drinking hot liquids. My throat is very uncomfortable.

My new bed, in contrast, is unbelievably comfortable. I knew my old mattress was horrible, but I didn't fully realize how horrible until I lay down on a "real" bed. I'm glad I have it because I'm feeling like staying in it all day today. I'm also glad it was delivered before I got sick instead of today when I feel so lousy.

reasons for gratitude

I'm making coffee, and I'm so glad I got milk when I went out yesterday. I really don't want to go out today.

So grateful for new mattress. So grateful for milk.
