I don't know how to message!

Hi An4 :)

I was looking for a way to send a private message, since i"ve gotten them from others here, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. I hope you'll see this message under your forum topic.

Just wanted to say thanks so much for being my buddy today. It was AWESOME! I think I'm going to kick back for the night and watch some TV, but if you want to be buddies again this weekend to work on your thesis, I also have some major work to do for a paper I'm writing for work and a little 10-minute talk I have to give this coming wednesday. I would love the company if you want to meet up here again.

Don't know if you'll be able to figure out how to send a direct message to me, but I'll be here tomorrow at 11AM Eastern Time, and I'll just stick around and check in during the day as I'm getting more progress done on my clean-up and work project.

Sending you a big hug!

Piet.

Hi An4,

hope you're holding up under the thesis stress!

I wanted to drop you a note, but your contacting option is disabled.  send me a note through my "contact" tab on my profile, so I can write you back (if you don't mind my emailing you, of course :)

*HUGS*

Having a tough time getting started this morning...have been in lab for 30 minutes browsing the web.

I need to leave relatively early today, so I need to buckle down.

There's a huge amount of stuff I would *like* to get done today, but the reality is that I won't get through it all today, so I need to prioritize.

Here's what I'm going to try to do.

There's a seminar at 10. It would be useful to me, but I have a lot of other work as well. So, I think I'll go if labmates go and stay in lab if they don't.

Other tasks that I want to do are:
*Finish slides of VAD synch.
*Organize papers
*At least half of lab mtg write-up
*Clear WM queue
*Finish code for simple diff EQ system

If I have more time I'll:
*Read RNAseq paper
*Email SS
*Write up equations.

OK, going to start w/ simple diff EQ system (hoping I can get this done in an hour)

Journey 9 am

Good morning, it's Friday, but I'm grumpy because I have to work this weekend.  It's been a long stressful week and the weekend will probably be the same.   Now that I've cheered you all up, I'm going to get some coffee, some aspirin, and get started on the todo list for today.     I'm sure things will look better with some caffeine in the system.

Journey 9:45 &

Hmmm it's time to update my signature line I think.   Here's my todo list for today and then I'll look for a new sig, then get to work!

  • Finish storage for server 6 - 1 hour
  • Time Sheet - 15 minutes
  • Prepare E on System Q - 1 hour
  • Update change requests - 1 hour
  • Review plans for weekend - 1 hour
  • Catch up email - 1 hour
  • Bluezone - 1 hour
  • Finish backing up hard drive - 30 minutes
  • Check dates for C. - 30 minutes
  • Take Vitamins
  • Quiet Time
  • Budget tracking
  • Start on U. install if time
  • added:  DB2C issues

Update 10:45 - Storage done, also took a phone call about a problem, so I'm on track but I'm really finding myself drifting off instead of focusing on my tasks.   I'm feeling a bit stressed today and that leads to the big P, so taking a break, then I'll do my time sheet (a non stressful task), then have quiet time, followed by Task E.

Update 1 pm - those tasks done, I'm going to take a break to walk around for a few minutes, then change requests.

Update 4:40  didn't finish the low priority stuff cause I high priority issue arose, otherwise I'm happy with my day and I'm leaving early!

Edge's CI - 12:06pm

Feeling mentally paralyzed. Need to clear my head and stop stressing the details.

I have loads to finish by Sunday, big deadline looming, broken promises to mend, and a life to organize. So stressful, so unnecessary.

x 9:30am antibiotic
- Call M
- Call T
- Finish horos1
- Finish horos2
- 9:30pm antibiotic
- prep tomorrow's to-do

Wanna buy a proper organizer so I can fix my life, everything is so scattered. I'm too worried about using my laptop to save my schedule on because I never know when I might lose the data (this is probably just paranoia, since I've had my laptop for years and it has yet to die out on me). I could use a regular notepad but it's not very organized. I'm just being irrational right now *headdesk*

Enough worrying, I'm just gonna get started.
