Agnus showing up
Just showing up. Hungry! Stressed! Anxious! Disordered!
But showing up. Thanks to vic and others for the good example.
(Agnus)
Yes! Thank you for showing up. We are "transition people" I tried to post this last nite and sorry, after spending time trying to reformat, then friend stopped by, am doing it now: "Freud documented well the impact that heredity and upbringing has on a person's fate. We learn "tapes" early-on that we play again and again oblivious to how they control (and destroy) ourlives. But does that mean the destiny was determined years ago? Does that mean your fate was sealed by your genes and your
childhood? Your past constantly vies for control of your future, but at the end of the day YOU have a CHOICE. Your domain is this moment, and every moment, when you can DECIDE to write a new script. So that you can consciously REJECT what you know doesn't work and replace old habits with new ways. This, of course, is no simple task. Not only because it's hard to break old habits and learn new ways, but also because most people are more comfortable doing what's familiar yet destructiverather than what's constructive but unfamiliar. In other words, most people are happier doingwhat they know doesn't work than they are working on something that they don't know. But that's what it takes to be a "transitionperson." A transition person is someone who breaks free from unhealthy patterns.

Back at around 3:05 PM with a report.

Hey Kind Peeps,
This week has been a bust, but something in me knows it will get better and something in me is telling that part of me that that's a lie, it won't get better. So while I fight to keep the faith, the list:
-10 minutes of a workout
-clean oven
-clean kitchen countertops
-1 hour of work for ML
Welcome to newcomers & returnees. To all those who are afraid to post, who feel they have nothing to say, who feel they will never get better, who feel this is stupid, who are afraid to trust and who feel alone & everyone not mentioned...WELCOME, WELCOME, WELCOME!!
♥Prayers & guidance needed & appreciated for my Yoffee's healing.♥
Journey 8:30
Working from home today, and a bit late getting started. I have a dr. appt today at noon to recheck for pneumonia, so please send prayers that it is all gone and I'll be released to go back to exercise next week! It will be hard to get back in to the routine of getting up early to work out
Back in half an hour with todo list!

Journey 9:45 &
Thanks Hope!
Here's my list for today!
Planning/todolistC. meetingbathe and dress for doctor visit - 30 minutesget address for m.o. - 5 minutesbegin planning for on-call week next week - 1 hourEmail team members on Project Z. - 1-2 hoursPlan kick off meeting for Project Z - 1 hourQuiet time - 15 minutesVitamins - 5 minutesPost office - 30 minutesDoctor - 1 hourStop by store (don't forget list!) - 30 minutes - dropped off car insteadTrack down boss and ask about Project V dates - 30 minutes?Send D. an email about next weekend - 5 minutesStart on Z education on S. website - 1 hourFind other doc on Z - 30 minutesProject V - download files - 1 hour - didn;t finish but worked on itThis may be a little too much . . . I'll see how it goes and maybe postpone something depending on how long it takes me to go to the doc and run those 2 errands.
Update 3 pm My brakes were making that grinding noise so I dropped the car off at the shop instead of making the grocery store run. There's a few little things wrong with it and I need an oil change so might as well go ahead and get it all taken care of. I have a couple hundred in my budget for the car this month, of course it will probably be more than that!
I'm working on composing the email and planning the kickoff meeting for Project Z, it's big and scary and I do not want to work on it. I'm taking a 10 minute break, then I will come back, find the list of team members, make an email distribution list, look at everyone's calendar and figure out a good time for a weekly meeting. I have the email that the project manager sent out last time a similar project was done, so now all I have to do is update it, write up the agenda and hit that scary enter key. I'll post back when I have done the first three above. I am NOT a project manager but I'm playing one for this project
Update 5 pm DONE!!
Oh, btw, doc took a chest X-ray (I've had three this year, is that *safe*?) so I won't know anything until he calls me with the results.

Starting
How do I start the thread in the future? I want to do it right.
the easiest way to start a thread ...
The easiest way to start a daily check-in thread:
Think of it as a greeting, or opening, or welcome, to an informal meeting. Members logging in for the day will look for your greeting,as reassurance that they are on the correct day's thread, and will read your "hello" with gratitude.
Put the weekday and full date in the subject.
In the body, put "hello", or "have a great day", or "serenity courage wisdom". It can be very simple.
(Some people add an image or poem to the thread-starter, but that's optional).
Once you've composed the daily greeting, then click the button to submit for posting. You have now created a "thread-starter" for the daily check-in thread.
Once the daily thread is started, click "Add comment" at the bottom of the thread-starter, to post your personal list. This is like your "personal share at the meeting".
Thank you
Thank you so much, movingalong! I can just keep it simple in the future. I can sinply say, "Have a Great Pro-Active Day" and "Happy Whatever day it is."
Peace
I did not know
I did not know I needed to do it that way. I am still learning. The next time, I will introduce everybody in one post and then reply to another. No one else started the forum for today so I did it.
Thanks.
That's perfect!
