Ok, Ok already...

I thought I had it handled.

I thought when I finally sat down to work, I'd be productive and get stuff done.

Arrrggghhhh! (Background noise of gnashing teeth.) Blech!

Ok. First task.

Look at census info. See how much work citing it will be.

Check in again.

One little step at a time.

Thanks for all the well-wishes. MC

Potential Energy 6

Hi

I am checking in and hoping to get some things done tonight.  I got through a lot of my crisis the other day, thanks to the chatbox.  I woke up around 2 in a panic about overdue reports, and couldn't get back to sleep.  So I got on the chatbox and finished a bunch!  Thank you for that .  I just got this new netbook because my laptop is on its way to a better place.  I now have a new excuse to put things off, because the keyboard drives me nuts-I am hoping to get used to it soon.  It's not that bad, I just keep hitting the mouse by accident.  OK- on to the list

1.  gather prs and print them

2.  Update a. b.  and print plus send copy to T.

3.  check on L. and P, reports tomorrow!!!

4.  finish k. report if info is received.

5 pack lunches for tomorrow

6. clothes out for tomorrow

7.  check on t.m. for tomorrow

Rexroth Checking In

I'me still ill and getting very little done. Today I've cleaned and cleared up and started making a list of things I need to do. That is all I can manage for the moment.

Bookend/JKL

Need to bookend next 2 hours. Breafast dishes and bed not made.Start dinner. Laundry if time.

Be back soon. Motivate!!!! Done!

(hope) checking in

Love, love the cheerleaders ((Edge))!! I know there are several living inside me dying to get out (if only I could do a split)!!

Yesterday was a successful get things done today at work, thanks to y'all.

Today I have my priorities in order:
Spending the day with my Yoffee
- took 2 walks and it's not noon yet
- brushed her twice
- want to work on her nails with this new contraption I got
- long walk and play in the afternoon
(THANK HP FOR PRIORITIES)
-oa meeting and maybe Alanon
-want to clean out the fridge & redo shelves so that it works better for me
-laundry
-cooking
-do p.t. exercises

There is a waitress position that sounds good near where I live and they are interviewing between 2 & 4 today. Don't know if I want to get it together to go...they need someone to work weekends, but I can't do Saturdays, so I don't even know if it's worth it. The thought of going and getting a position is scary.

There are lots of procrastination projects looming in my brain...but I'm avoiding them in the moment.

RAH, RAH everyone!!

Agnus check-in

Home again after extended trips for biz, J med, and family visits. Much to do! started today with a lengthy Step 11 - sadly that is a habit it's so easy to lose when traveling, and I'm afraid my sanity paid dearly for the loss. I'm feeling less confident, more ADD/PA overwhelmed than usual. Adding to this are 210 backlogged emails, a warning from the bank that funds are dangerously low, and a debt collection voicemail - egads, what bill did I lose amid my procras piles this time?

  • Write down a plan for today's food, tools and tasks.
  • Check in here again with that commitment.

welcome home Ag

haven't checked in in a while because i have a new rule--if i'm not working by 10am i drop everything and start working.

this rule has had the positive effect of getting me working by 10, not 11, 12, 1 as happens to me some days.

but often i have not checked in yet by 10.

today i have work, xmas project, church presentation to get done, so i'm just going to use the tools

6. Use Small Blocks of Time:

10. Bookend Tasks and Time:

(from PA Tools for Recovery which is at < http://procrastinators-anonymous.org/files/PA_Tools.html >)

and do 1 hr on each thruout the day.

Spirit 12/15

Yeah Cheerleaders, just for me I am sure.  I have made a major deadline and look great to my clients.  This program is working for me.  I am sending the report today will take about 1 hour to put in final form for completion of this section and billing, which will go out promptly.

Missed the morning checkin, yesterday was long and draining.  Today I get to work from home and will be checking in to be sure and stay on track.  Right now I want to monofocus on completion of this phase.

  • oraganize information into days
  • review work
  • incorporate what was done on Thursday, Friday, Monday
  • merge information
  • create template for delivery
  • create invoice
  • determine how to merge
  • create outline
  • review draft-check for insertions and errors
  • 2hrs for completion broken down into 15 minute sessions

Spirit

(hope) Congratulations Spirt!!

It's nice to hear the hope & success in your check-in. Much continued success.

Thanks HopeSmile Got everything completed.  It is off and so is the invoice.  The new lesson, it took me 4 hrs instead of 2.  The good news I had the time for the hickup.  This is one of the promises of recovery of this program and I AM LIVING IT.

Thanks to you all.

Heading to lab mtg in a few minutes

9:30ish CI for Lark

Seems all the fun stuff has already been done. Now comes the not-so-fun stuff. I need to deal with a difficult client this week, and today is as good as any. If anyone has any spare positive thoughts, please send them my way.

To do:
(X) trash gathered and outside
(X)housecleaning for "overt" items
(X)deal with client above, and finish his project
(1/2)put un-needed things away in workshop
(X)visit 12 step friend @ 3:00
(X)set up task for work for this evening
(X)check back in here

Journey 9:30 & update

Working from home today, so I'll probably check in frequently to stay on track.  I've been to the gym, had breakfast, checked email and calendar.  Now can I goof off for a while?   No?  OK, I'll make some coffee and get to work, you slavedrivers.  :D

Jo

UPDATE 3:30  I feel scattered today and having a hard time concentrating.  I've done some work but not on my highest priority project.  I'm taking a few minutes now for qt and then see if I can spend the rest of the day on Project V.     I keep jumping up out of my chair like a jack-in-the-box, I just don't want to sit still today.  But . . .must . . . focus!

UPDATE 6:15 I finally put in a good couple of hours on Project V, but I feel bad about the time I wasted this morning.   I need to think of some ways to get myself to settle down to work earlier in the day, especially on work-at-home days.   If I had my druthers, I'd sleep late and work late, but that ain't gonna happen.

Tomorrow's another day, folks.  See you then!

Good morning, all.

Resolution #1: This is my home page, and has been for more than a year. So every time I fire up the computer and my Web browser, it goes here first. But too often I skip right past. So my resolution is to ALWAYS check in first here every day.

Checking personal email, attending to one personal item for now, then back w/ MITs.

LOVE the cheerleaders!

Who put those up there?

My own personal cheering section. Nice.

So, my deadline is passed and my thinking around how to resolve it is clearly not "clear."

My goal for this a.m. is to make some calls to others I feel safe sharing with, and get some input about how best to resolve it. Get feedback from some "saner" brains to counteract my own sick, avoidant, shameful thinking.

I think that is really the best next right step for me. I need help. So - go ahead and get it.

Thanks - MC

re: cheerleaders

Edge did the thread starter today!  I applaud you for reaching out for help.  I know I always work better if I have someone working with me, which is probably why I prefer to work alone :)

Thanks Jo :)

Yeah, I went ahead and made a couple calls.

My friend B, who is also a priest, was available. She just gave me lots of love and some good perspective and it was absolutely the perfect thing for me to do.

Now, to take the actions I saw to take in the call, and actually contact my professors.

Here goes nothin'! :)

Warm wishes to all - MC

Falcon CI Tues.

Hi pro amigos,

Another day when it would be really easy to give in to winter depression.  Curse you, winter depression!  I refuse to surrender!  Tongue out

I have a dentist appointment and an errand to run.  When I get back, I think the top priority is to put my environment in order -- tidy my place and do some cleaning.  I'll feel better if my surroundings look neat.

I'll check in when I get back.

Falcon

Edited to add:

Back from dentist.  Time to eat something, then get to work on cleaning.  Going to head over to the chatbox.

Edge's CI - 4:17pm

Good morning :*

Dropping sis off at gym. I worked on my assignment and finished writing half of it. Now for the other half and then editing. I'll submit it tomorrow once I've taken a look at it with fresh eyes. Really need to pay my uni fees. Will do that early tomorrow morning - but that also involves a trip to the ATM. Bah, I'm almost broke. Will have to cut down on my expenses till I get my next salary.
