Recycler CI 6:50pm EST (Friday)

Oops, this is supposed to be on the Friday thread! Sorry! ;)

Hi Pro Buddies!

I'm going out to my other 12-step meeting in a few minutes, but want to CI before I head out.

This morning I walked to the gym, did a short cardio, ab exercises, and stretches.

Today work alternated between being slow, then other people needing things immediately. OK, made it through. On my assignment list, I mostly marked things out as I completed them, and will use that to start from on Monday morning.

Walked home & ate dinner. I've washed my face & changed clothes. I hopeful of having a nice weekend here, so I'm heading out in a few minutes to get it started! ;)

Have a great night, everyone! :)

Hi Pro Buddies!

I'm finishing up the work day here and have a few free minutes, so decided to do my CI. I didn't sleep well last night, so may feel sleepy when I get home & not want to post ;)

This morning: walked to gym, did ab exercises & stretching. At work I'm still plowing through my assignment list. Walked at lunchtime & ate; didn't do any errands. Next: update my assignment list for tomorrow.

Have a great night, everyone! :)

kromer 10:30 CI and confession

Yesterday I did OK until about 6:30, then I just totally stopped working and fell into a web-surfing vortex that lasted until I went to bed...I have a presentation today that I'm stressed out about, and I was avoiding preparation for it.

However, today I'm doing a little better...I've pulled together what I think is a decent presentation this morning. Here's what I need to do for the rest of the day

Scheduled: class 11-12:30. church mtg 7-8

MITs:
*Finish raw data proc
*Quality control for MC's data
*grocery shopping, laundry
*Review 3 stats lectures
*Phone calls about walk for hunger
*Look over raw data for 1 dataset and see what I observe

Other tasks
*Doc. cons code
*Budgeting/financial stuff
*read 2 papers for DG's project
*Brainstorm next steps of analysis

Breaks:
*Lunch w/ classmates
*Call AG

Off to class, then lunch, raw data proc, looking over data, QC.

kromer 2 CI

Went to class and gave presentation...it wasn't great, but it got me useful feedback and a place to start on a project where I've been floundering. Then I had lunch with my classmates, which was very nice.

Right now, I'm going to finish the raw data processing, and look over the raw data from one experiment. Then, I've just been given a pointer to a whole bunch of data on the project, so I'm going to read through that and take notes (rather than reading papers on the project) and brainstorm some next steps.

Update 5:30--I finished raw data processing,  looked over raw data from half an experiment, and read through most of data on project, had dinner. Right now, I'm going to spend about 20 min brainstorming next steps on the project, then I'm going to make phone calls about walk for hunger, then go to church mtg, then come home and take care of laundry and grocery shopping.

kromer 9:50 CI

Church meeting got done late, got home around 9:30, had a break and a snack.

Right now, I'm going to send an email to AG (since he's sick and lost his voice...), then go grocery shopping, start laundry, do breakfast dishes from this morning, go over 3 stats lectures.

Trinity CI 10:03 a.m.

Yesterday was a so so day for me. I got done about half of the stuff I had on my to do list. During the evening, I was in a l ot of pain due to a huge canker sore that is on the inside of my cheek. It is rubbing up against my braces and makes my cheek feel like it is on fire! I feel it is about as equivalent to a toothache. I ended up spending the whole evening playing with my daughter, reading 4 chapters in my book (which was on my to do list) and then calling it a night at 9 p.m. when I couldn't take the pain anymore. My housework did not get done, ugh! But anyway, here is my to-do list for today:

1. Take out trash. (estimated time 5 minutes)

2. Start laundry and put clothes away (estimated time 10-15 mins)

3. Do dishes (estimated time 10 minutes)

4. Light cleaning (estimated time 25 minutes)

5. Start cleaning room. (will spend  15 minutes)

6. Spend 15 minutes cleaning DD's froom

7. Buy 4 thank you cards.

8. Buy 4 stamps.

9. Come home and address cards and send out.

1. Do adolescent lit and linguistics homework.

12. Shower and set out all clothes for DD and me.

13. Make lunch for tomorrow

14. Go to bed at a decent hour  (10ish)  - Gotta wake up at 6 and excercise.

Sammy ci :: 9:00 am

I'll be leaving the house in a few minutes to go to school to print my LCFA project. Made no progress on my Zimbabwe paper last night. It is now 7 days late. I have class at 3, then another class at 6, so I need to make really good use of my time before and after class. Tomorrow morning is my client presentation for project LCFA. It will feel SO good to be done with that! Saturday my puppet team is performing at a luncheon, but we are SO not ready. I'm praying that God will get us through that performance with His grace! We really need it!

Today I am thankful for my friends T, J, and A. Without them, I probably would have given up on this LCFA project weeks ago.

We are off to the zoo today!  End of the year is a field trip frenzy!! Back this afternoon to get some work done – thank God for helping me with balance… and not being so far behind that I can’t take breaks – I am a work in progress!

Word and prayer for the day again: Psalm 63:1-3, 7-8

 "O God, You are my God; early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.
So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You....
Because You have been my help,
Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.
My soul follows close behind You;
Your right hand upholds me."

Journey quick update - Dad's funeral is today

Greetings everyone, just wanted to let you all know that my Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday evening.   My brother stopped by after work to check on him and found him asleep and couldn't wake him.   He called the family and the preacher and we were all with him as he took his last breath.

This was not unexpected although we never expected it to be this soon . . . but I'm glad he went peacefully in his sleep and that we were all able to be there, and that he went fairly quickly and didn't have to linger on in the nursing home for a long time.

We are sad, of course, but we're doing ok.  Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers you have sent my way during my Dad's illness.

My deepest sympathy to you

I send my deepest sympathy to you and your family in this difficult time. Even when a parent dies peacefully, it is hard when it happens suddenly. I lost my mother last fall in a similar way and it was hard because it was so unexpected. You are in my thoughts and prayers today and in the coming days.

Glad to know, though, that you and your family's lives can move forward again.   Wishing you strength and peace...

PHONE LIST

Hey folks,

I want to start a phone list, for outreach calls for PA.  I want us to be able to contact one another, when we're going through a rough time getting started and need to check in.  It'd be cool to have somewhere to reach, when a computer is not available.  Since we cannot post private information in a public place, please feel free to message me with the following, if you wish to be added:

first name (optional), screen name handle, phone number, good times to be reached, time zone, are you doing step work for PA?, email (so that I can email you with the phone list when I get a bunch of people)

Thank you!

katia11 CI 4/30

Okay. I am back after another long term hiatus. So much has happened in this time! I am done with school for a bit, but I feel incredibly incredibly unproductive and decided to make a Check-In for tomorrow/tonight. I am going to make it somewhat simple so I can FINALLY finish a Check-In after MULTIPLE attempts. Here goes:

-E-mail Physics person
-E-mail advisor
-Pick out two sets of summer courses
-Call woman about job
-Go to the driving range (weather permitting)
-Pick up prescriptions
-Buy airline tickets
-Post masterlist of goals on procrastinator's anonymous
-Organize box full of underthings and socks
-Start reading book I started a month ago
-Have a great day with my boyfriend! <3

Not too scary. Gonna keep things a little small and manageable until I actually start getting things done lol.

meh!

I am very anxious about sending these e-mails. . .

So it is not the best day to hit golf balls. I practised the piano a little bit to make up. Also I re-typed an essay for someone who needed to read it.

woo!

I did not have very reliable internet the past couple days, so I could not update this list. I am pleased!

This is the most things I have ever completed on a check-in. Yay! The masterlist has been delegated to today's to-do list, and I have not been home to organize that box of stuff as I'm staying somewhere else.

Now on to today!

Deej CI 30/04

Had a bunch of new tasks dumped on me for next week which threw me a little. But then I thought it through and have decided to ignore those items until next week and get on with Thursday.

So today...

  1. do fliers for field days and send for checking
  2. pay bills/claims
  3. back to the web page updates

I've renewed a routine I'd previously tried and its been working well the last few days except for wasteing the entire evenings in front the TV or computer games, so tonight...

  1. organise for weekend tree measurement
  2. review will

Dam - not going so well (mostly procrastinating by chatting on forums about procrastination - arh!). Half hour lunch to return to routine and then into it - no distractions.

Well got the fliers done in the end but having major frustrations with the web pages.
