Hi pro amigos,

I'm taking today off to get some things done.  I got my hair cut, worked on project X, got some laundry done, tinted my hair, sent an email, emptied the dishwasher, got a slight start on sorting clothes, found a missing button, and ordered some notecards.

Here are the things that it would feel really good to get done today:

Call A.

Call vet for cat's info

Get oil change/check brakes

Drop that package off at the post office (been putting that off forever)

Email S.

Pick up dry cleaning

Get info for Friday

Get outfit together for Friday

And I need to do some daily things, too -- answer email, answer personal ad, exercise.  And I'd like to get to bed early.

O.k. . . I guess the best plan is to make the phone calls, then email S., then go do the errands -- post office (also need to stop at drug store on the way) dry cleaning, oil change (and I can get gas while I'm out.)

Then this evening I can do my daily stuff and prep. for Friday.

Hi all,

I'm fighting the winter "hibernation drive."  I just want to curl up in a ball and sleep.  But I sent the email to S., and I looked up some of the info for Friday.  I'm going to hold off on the phone calls for now -- I'm just feeling really resistant, and I'd rather do something I have less resistance to, rather than waste energy fighting myself.

Next up -- go do errands, before the post office closes.  Gotta go out into the frozen tundra -- brrr!

I'm in the big city today because of a meeting here tonight. So I'm at Client M's offices and mostly working on Project P-4. Also volunteer project USU, and if I can project M-2 which is late.

 

UPDATE 5 PM

made 2 calls on project M-2, several inquiries on Project P-4, fnished project USU. Done for the night. Dinner and ameeting.

Well, today is not going to well.  Terrible road conditions had me work late, which threw me off.  When I got home, I sat in this ultra comfortable huge chair of mine, and thought to myself that I "would just warm here and finish my coffee while checking sites I haven't been to in awhile because of my new routines"  Guess what - haven't moved except to grab cookies, have a nap, grab a bag of chips.  And I have been yelling at the kids again.  And instread of moving myself to the dining room and setting things up I remain here.  I feel...like the seat of this chair is pulling me down...everything about me has this sensation of falling, down.

I have a new routine for a reason, but why did I choose not to follow it this morning?  I was tired, yes.  I was cold, yes.  I must be creating negative thoughts of the new routine.  The last few days I haven't been able to finish my to-do list.  Before, I would finish it, but not feel like I was done. I was babystepping then, and I didn't feel challenged.  But I increase the amount on the list, and I let myself down,  So I should go back to the babysteps...

sorry for being AWOL

I didn't check in yesterday but I did get a fair amount done on a big presentation.  Still a lot left to do though, and I am facing a few more big projects coming at me, so today is going to require a lot of work.  This morning I had to do a lot of detail hunting for some current projects.

Today, I will:

-get mostly done with the Ford presentation [A LOT BUT NOT MOSTLY]

-get a good start on the L memo [NOPE]

So I had several minor things pop up like searching for info for my boss and editing last minute stuff by a member of my team that kept me from doing more, and I am looking at even more stuff heading my way later this week.  I better plan for this weekend being very full.  Shit.

Got a lot to do and a late start today (sound familiar? LOL).  Going to chat to work with velocity on these MUTs:

Off to a good start today and I have a lot to do.  I'm looking forward to the day!  I've been to the gym, had breakfast, read email, checked my calendar, and made my todo list.  I need to rough out a schedule for the day, then head to the chatbox.  

I want to find time to color my hair sometime today!

Today work is closed because of snow (not much snow can still see the grass on the ground) Part of me is glad to have the day off (Even better if I am productive) the other part of me wishes it was just a delayed opening. Now we have to make it up on a work day that would have been helpful to have. Anyway I do not make the decisions.

My delimma now is to get my butt in gear and be productive. I have been out of sorts for  the last week. I do not have a major task in the hopper so I am not feeling any intenstity. I have many project that I want to do but nobody is waiting on me to get them done yet. So today day I need to focus on

  1. Catching up some household tasks, mainly clothes.
  2. Clean bathroom -- start shinning my sink (I have it on my task list but have not started doing it)
  3. Clean out frig
  4. Tidy up kitchen
  5. Clean livingroom
  6. 15 min clutter utility room

Well that is a start -- now to get motivated

I have gotten off to a slow start and still not really motivated. (But I started) Next task is to is to is to is to..............

*Write summary of what I've done so far in DP lab/next goals
*Finish Harambee prep
*Bug landlord again
*Get alg. results, email PF

*1 hr work on systematic analysis of Stra8/Dazl data
*Put wattmeter on fridge

I haven't had the best night. I finished note-taking MIT and started writing summary (I'm about 2/3 done now). Then I went to Harambee. When I came home, I talked to my landlord, which was a really unpleasant experience (he claimed that he didn't get a building permit for structural work on the apartment because "the city is just looking for bribes"). That stressed me out, and I haven't gotten any work done so far this evening.

Right now, I'm going to get the algorithm results and email PF about them...should take an hour at the most. Then I'm going to take about 30 min and finish up summary. If I have time I'll finish reading chpt. 4, but I don't think I'll get there.

Update 11:10--gotten alg. results, emailed PF, yay! Now shower and finish up summary 

 

kromer 4 CI starting again

After class at 3 I wasted an hour websurfing, which I'm not happy with myself about.

I'm going to pick myself up and re-start on my MITs. I need to leave for Harambee around 5:30, I think I can finish notes/summary by then. Heading to the chatbox now. (After harambee, I'll try and talk to my landlord, if I can't find him then I'll send him an email. Then I'll look at algorithm results and email PF; if I have time I'll work on my other tasks.)

Update 5:10 notes done! working on summary of work now.
