Convalalria 's recovery? 10.46am Sunday

returning to school tomorrow and lifeline is not constructed.  I had a few good days and a few paralysed days.  Have done a substabtial amount of sorting and culling. It was needed but not immediate life line stuff.
I hope I can do enough today......and some grading as well....
Now:

  • morning routine for 1 hour
  • deal with doggy stuff and a proper 40 minute walk
  • lifeline stuff for 1hour from 13pm
  • check in

Convalalria 's recovery? 13.24pm Sunday

 Panic!!! Anxiety!!!
Morning routine not finished, doggy not walked.
Lifeline not started.
Got distracted by some cooking.
Next:

  • shower, moisturise, teeth, hair, dress
  • call friend
  • 15 minutes sorting paper on kitchen bench
  • 30 minutes lifeline
  • check back in

"Recovery from procrastination means doing what you say you're going to do, when you say you're going to do it."

hugs for convalaria

Wishing for you to get through your panic. Congrats on checking in despite your anxiety!

e's saturday

I am sluggish this morning and have been a bit under the weather this week. I have a dear friend coming in from out of town today, so she is my first priority. I am still awash in cardboard boxes and am slowly culling things out. I am feeling overwhelmed by all that there is to get rid of, and finding the willingness to get rid of things which are of value but superfluous.

meds, dog walked, cereal eaten, dishes

shower, etc.

choose a box and work through it

 sort. sort. sort

take things out to the car or the trash outside to keep up with all there is.

job. find one.

ok it's 11:30 sat and i have made my list, now to choose what to do and do it. Nothing is urgent and there's almost no reason to choose one thing over another.

Journey 10:30 a little reprieve

I thought the kids were coming over for dinner tonight so I had planned on heading straight to the grocery store this morning before work at noon. . .but they are not coming until tomorrow so I slept in, then goofed off on the computer for a couple hours.  But that's over, now it's time to get to work!
First up, finish up my grocery list (which I didn't get finished last night!) and have it ready so that I do the food shopping right after work.  Should have it finished up and printed out by 11.

Then, set up the "home office" and review scripts for testing at noon.  Be all logged in and ready to do by 11:30, then I'll have a half hour to relax.

kromer 9:40 CI

A slow start this morning, but now I'm ready to work...

My first task this morning is to organize/clean...this week has been crazy, and as a result my mess has gotten out of hand. I'm going to tidy my room, deal with loose papers in my binder, and balance my checkbook.

After I've dealt with that, my focus today is on PF's project. I want to:
*look at results from recent rand runs, take notes on how it worked (MIT)
*Document p300, brca1 and smarca4  datasets
*finish chore for LR (that I was supposed to finish yesterday...) (MIT)
*add clustering to algorithm
*brainstorm why STRING not working well (MIT)
*get PGC1a dataset

Breaks: lunch with grandpa, call AG

I'll work at home until lunchtime, then in lab after. Update when my room is clean.

kromer 3:20 CI

I had a bit of a slow morning...I tidied room, dealt with loose papers, balanced checkbook, went to lunch with my grandpa, bought a raincoat (not on the list but something I've been meaning to do), now I'm finally in lab.

I'm going to try my best to do focused work here until 7, then I'll head home.

I'm going to start by finishing chore for LR (30 min at most). Then I'll look at the results from the recent rand. runs. That should take about 2 hrs.  Frequent updates, back when both of those tasks are done.

kromer 4:50 CI

Going very very slowly, but I finally finished chore for LR. AG called me, so I'm going to take a break (max 1 hr) and call him back, then I'm going to start looking at results from recent rand. runs.

kromer 6:20 CI

Talked to AG (but he was feeling really down, so it wasn't much of a break for me...), then had a quick dinner. Now I'm having a lot of trouble getting to work...

It's really important for my project that I look at the results of these rand. runs, and I'll be really happy when they are done. That said, looking at the results is pretty boring. So I'll break it up. I'm going to look at the BRCA1 results carefully now, which should take about an hour. I'm not going to worry about the P300 results yet. When I'm done looking at the BRCA1 results, I can go home.

I'm going to work in the chatbox to get me through this task...

And I'm going to schedule a real 1 hr break for this evening (watching part of a movie), since it is the weekend :) That should hopefully keep me motivated to get through my MITs.

kromer 9:20 CI

Got most of the way through BRCA1 data, then ran into tech. difficult (temporarily unavailable software license) that prevented me from finishing. But I did some good, focused work and made progress.

Now I'm home, and I'm going to take my break (watching 1 hr of a movie). Then I'll be back.

kromer 10:45 CI

Finished break (it went a little long, but not bad). I'm going to work for 30 min now, then take a shower and go to bed.

I don't think I can get much useful research done in the next 30 min, so instead I'm going to work on another task (not on my list for today, but it is on my list for the week)...I'm going to read a paper from PT's lab. Back when that's done.

Update 11:40--got 2/3 of the way through the paper, took a shower, going to bed now.
