Lark at 4:20pm Tired

I'm so lazy today, and don't feel up to par either. Gosh, I just need to do something to get out of this fog. This past week or so has been really bad, as far as procrastination goes. I ran erands all over earlier today and came back frustrated and p'oed. If I can get an hour's worth of productive work done I'll be thrilled. See you all later.

How's the fog, Lark?

Hi Lark,

I sympathize -- feeling foggy is a drag!  I hope it has dissipated somewhat!

Falcon

Eh, some better.

Doing some better. Sometimes we just have to ride it out, while doing the best we can. I DID get some small parts of a big project done this evening, then I went to a meeting of my 12 step group. I hope we all do well this coming week. Thanks.

Falcon Saturday CI

Hi pro amigos,

Happy weekend!

I've got a boatload of stuff to do this weekend, but the top priority is to decompress from a crazy week.

Next up:

  • Eat lunch
  • Call realtor
  • Clean brain
  • Nap while using ear drops
  • Take shower

Things I need to do this weekend:

  • Prep for class on Mon.
  • Get & send card for M.
  • Get groceries & prescription
  • Make lunches for next week
  • Sort paperwork & prep for Mon.
  • Run through music
  • Get directions for Sun. evening
  • Answer pers. ads
  • Practice

Things I'd like to do this weekend:

  • Vacuum
  • Dust
  • Clean kitchen
  • Clean bathroom
  • Call M.
  • Call J.
  • Call L & A

I'm going to be in and out a lot, so not everything may get done.

Finished my lunch while typing this!  So, going to do my "next up" list and check back in.

Catch you later,

Falcon

Falcon is a sleepyhead

Whoa!  I slept all afternoon!  Apparently my brain needed the recovery time after a stressful week at work; I didn't realize how tuckered out I was.  At least the eardrops had plenty of time to work

The good thing is I met my top priority, which was to decompress, but it's kind of a bummer that it took so much time, since I've got so many things I'd like to get done, and tomorrow is packed with commitments.  I might ditch my evening plans for tomorrow; we'll see how it goes.

Next up: take my shower, then make an early dinner 'cause I'm starving (worked up an appetite with all that sleeping, apparently!)

Falcon CI - whoops

Hi all,

Whoops -- I got slurped off into looking things up online.  I was looking for information that I will need eventually, but I definitely do not need to be focusing on today.  So, back to today. . .  Next up: make & eat dinner, then clean kitchen while making phone calls.

Falcon

Falcon CI - dang!

Dang!  I just did it again while starting to get dinner heated -- got back online to look up info about moving.  I understand why I'm feeling compulsive about it. . . I'm hoping to move in the near future and am really feeling overwhelmed by how in heck I'm going to get all the packing, etc. done at what is already a busy, hectic time of year.  So I'm trying to ease my anxiety, I think.

But that's not going to help if I don't get today's tasks done; it'll just leave me with more stuff to do and more overwhelmed.  So. . . back on track -- dinner (I'll watch TV or read so I don't gravitate back to the computer) kitchen, phone calls.

Falcon

Well done Falcon

kromer 9:10 CI

OK, didn't get anything done last night, and haven't gotten anything done this morning. I need to pull myself out of this hole now...

I'm going to take care of an unfinished MIT from the past couple days...making a list of 20 people I might rotate with. That should take about 30 min, then I'll go to a church mtg, back around 2:15. (I'll update when I finish the list)

Update 9:35--OK, most way through the list (need to take 4 people off it, but at least I have a starting point...)

kromer 2:40 CI

I had a church mtg, which was productive and pretty enjoyable. Now I'm home again, and I choose to focus on my work until 5 and then take the evening off.

Here's what I plan to get done:

MITs: go through list of rotation possibilities, annotate with 1-sentence research summaries, come up with rough ranking
Do 2 questions from genetics pset
Email about SLP meting
Take notes from church mtg today, forward RH's email

Other tasks (not all these will get done, I'll just do what I feel like):
Read Nordling paper
Order drill
Email PJ and CV
brainstorm why STRING interactome didn't work
Email about lab mtg
Do 2 probability pset questions
Email or Skype RH

I'm going start with MIT #1, should take me about 30 min, update when that's done.

Update 4:50--RH was online, so I Skyped with her for a while, then I did MIT #1. Now I'm going to take care of as many of the rest of my MITs as I can finish in 30 min, then I'll stop work (I'm cooking for a party tonight, so I need to leave by 5:20.

Conv still in recovery saturday 23 pm

Recycler

Hi Pro Buddies!

Trying to get with the program here.

This morning: clean bathroom, bag up trash to take out, fold & put away clothes, make gym/work bags for next week. Check in again later ;)

11:08. Folded & put away clothes. Did 2 more loads of laundry. Ran dishwasher. Bagged trash & took to dumpster. Went on bike ride. Bought provisions for the week. Delay on cleaning the bathroom and making the gym & work bags for the week. I need to pick up an order at the store -- I need to do that while I have enough energy, so I better do that next! I'm hoping to update my CI at least one more time before I go to a friends house for a movie tonight.

Have a great day, everyone1 :)
