Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
I've been to the gym and done my 20 minutes of getting started. Now for coffee!
I'm having a tough time mentally this morning, feeling scared and inadequate. But I have my MITs and I'm going to start with #1 and assume that once I get started I'll feel better.
Have a great week everyone!
Jo
Update 10 am: I have a feeling I'm going to need to post frequently today, so I'll just edit this one for a while. Finished MIT #1, bookending a 10 min. break.
10:20 back. on to MIT #2 (the big one!)

[NOPE] Check In Sunday - Make GROUP if at home
I had a hugely effective Saturday and a zero Sunday. After working hard yesterday I went out with a friend and over did it, and woke up late and missed the group. I told myself I wouldn't drink or smoke last night, and then I did both and feel like crap. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks about the void in my life without my best friend. IT SUCKS! I'll get back on the horse tomorrow and and earn back some much needed self esteem.
While I overall enjoyed the family reunion, it is really good to finally be back home!!! This weekend was Way Too Busy! Sometimes I can pace things better, but Everything was This Weekend Only!!! Aie!
However, the little cousins seem to enjoy the gifts I brought them -- dolls for the girls and children's books for the boys. So that makes it worth it to me.
Tonight: finishing cooking Round 1 of vegetables from my dad's garden, answer e-mail. Try to "unwind" before bed ;)
the bit about pulling teeth when trying to complete tasks......that is every bit of paper in THE BACKLOG. The hopless feeling and trying in faith again and again and again....
Perhaps it is somethinfg to do with forward planning and setting priorities.....I seem to get myself in the same situation again and again and again....

Hi everyone. I've been out of town, combination of work and relaxation last week, and I received some amazing insights while away from my own epicenter. Having external structure in my life and work was really good. From now on I'm going to have to impose and rely upon something other than myself much more to do better. Perhaps we can kick some ideas around about about that later. In the meantime:
Today:
(X)morning things

household period

check in later
I did a few things while waiting for something to download - haven't really started in earnest yet.

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)
wow that was hard
i was wondering around not sure what to do. Nothing urgent. But a to-do list bursting at the seams.
so i picked one and just did it. It was like pulling teeth. I felt like i was going to die.
But, i can report, i did not die. Here i am. In fact, i am encouraged to have gotten something done. So much for trusting my feelings.
Now, i have to do it again...
...20 min reading this site and posting. NOW i will pick an MIT.
...40 min trying to juggle my MITs and family's. Continue trying, in faith, because i feel like it's hopeless...
Oh Clement! I do understand...
