On your marks... get set...wait, wait, I think it would be better to do this tomorrow when the wind is coming from the east... or maybe next Thursday, when a mist is forecasted... perhaps I should do some research on which weather is most adventageous for running races... oh, while I am looking up boolean searches for weather and races I found this great site on running races... apparently my shoes are not good enough to run a race... they have these new ones... but, oh, there is a new design coming out next spring... yes, perhaps I should wait to run the race then...

Hello & CI from Falcon

Hi all,

Just wanted to stop by and say hello!

For my pro buddies here on the US east coast, I hope you all survived
the heat wave & storms & power failures!  Where I am, the
electricity is back up, the weather is much dryer, and it's warm but
not crazy-hot anymore.

I'm dealing with a health issue -- nothing life threatening, but it's making me fatigued and anemic at the moment.

To do:

  • Regenerate red blood cells   Wink

Everything else can wait.  If I push myself to be active, it's just going to slow me down, but if I take things slow now, I'll get my energy back more quickly.

Hey Falcon

Hope you're feeling better soon!!  I will email you a couple of extra red blood cells.

Hi!

Winds, storm starting here pre-thunderstorm, so I better type quick!

Today: elliptical, stretching, work, In-Service training all day, 1 other meeting, staff lunch.

Tonight: fixed dinner, posted, started one load of laundry.

Next: dry, fold & put away laundry. Read recovery literature. Maybe cook a snack.

Have a great night everyone!

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

OK, I've been in a bit of a slump: I have a really hard time getting *anything* done on vacation.

I've going to start by making my bed and then finishing chpt. 1 of orgo review book

c ci

interesting content here, but it's not time to read yet. come back for break after 1hr of work. It's 9:45am. cya

11:25am: had a meeting to go to, so it's been 1:40. That's good. Now reward myself by reading the fine people here.

11:40am: done browsing this site. Encouraging, helpful, interesting as usual. that was just 15 min. that's good.
now 20 min more of work.

11:50am: subtask done. feeling resistance to working on the next one. yielding to higher power so i lose that resistance and gain the power to do the next subtask.

12:15pm: binged for 15 min. I've been worse. Now mid-day tasks.

3:10pm: mid-day tasks done and appt done. Back to work. 30 min then check my non-work MITs.

3:55pm: started work, then got distracted. Now back to work 15 min.

Journey 9:30 & updates 10:38 11:45 12:45 3:15

Good morning!  Back at work today.  I even went the gym for a short 20-minute workout.

Off to catch up on voice and email and do my MITs for the day.  I only have one meeting and it's this afternoon, so I'm going to sit in my office and give myself an hour to play catchup and get organized.  Back at 10:30

UPDATE 10:38  Email and voice mail all read.  Not all processed, though, I'm leaving some in my inbox for tomorrow.  I have spent enough time on email for this morning.   My MITs are still not done, although I took care of several quick tasks that showed up in email.  I need 30 more minutes of organizing time, back at 11:15.

UPDATE 11:45  OK, I'm finally organized and ready to do some real work.  It only took half the freaking day.  I can take care of several quick routine tasks before I take a lunch break at 12:30.  check back in at 1:00.

UPDATE 12:45 k, routine stuff done.  lunch break, then back to IP addresses which I should have already finished, but had to drop 2 weeks ago in order to work on prep for the DR test, which should have been done months ago.  lololol.  Actually, make those "should haves" "could haves" instead as nothing was actually LATE.  That's an improvement!

I'm getting much better at staying on task throughout the day, but still need some work on my planning and prioritizing hehe.

UPDATE 3:15 Finished one group of server updates, attended staff meeting, now have to document the changes I made. Back 4:30
