Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
I've made a lot of progress in rebuilding my computer. I'm not quite finished, but almost. It's midnight now, and I need to go to bed - it's very bad for me to stay up late, and it's already too late.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
What's standing between me and bed right now is that I haven't taken any pills yet today, and I don't want to. So I'm ready to procrastinate on getting into bed - though my teeth are brushed - to avoid taking pills. That's dumb.
Dang! Here I am up too late again. Though at least not as late as last night. Tomorrow maybe I'd better post a bedtime so I'll remember to get myself tucked in at a reasonable hour.
Hi Pro Buddies!!! Let the Sun Shine on the holiday weekend!!! :) Woo hoo!!! :)
[Actually it's kind of a rainy day here, but not on my computer lololol]
Yay, Recycler's home computer is working again, because she was Very Brave today and went to Best Buy on her own, and picked out a CPU All By Herself, bought it, took it home, and installed it All By Herself!!! :) Which is a huge step for me, as I've previously always had my own MicroSerf to purchase and install computers for me!!! :)
One small step for computer savvy people, one Giant Step for Recycler!!! :)
This means: I can now do daily check-ins again, and also see how all my Pro Buddies are doing!!! Whee!!! :) I can now stay on track more, rather than sitting in a daze in the recliner!!! :) [ok, actually I like sitting in a daze in the recliner lol. But you know what I mean!]
Today: straighten 3rd floor bedroom, begin bringing 1st wave of items downstairs. Purchase new CPU (done!!!)
This afternoon: continue setting up new computer (see if e-mail works ;) 1 session of straightening main level, maybe lower level of condo.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!! :) Talk to you later! :)
Slept very late this morning, it felt great to finally catch up on sleep!
Since it's the weekend after school ended, going to take it pretty easy...I'm going to try to get 4-5 hours of useful work/chores done each day, but other than that I can just relax.
The big focus for today is cleaning up my room (and especially, gathering up a bunch of stuff to give away/throw away--I want to do my big purge of stuff now rathe than at the end of the summer).
I also need to plan out what I want to get done this week, especially for my new research project. I need to set today's MIT for my research project and do 2 hours of work on the research project, and email PF about our weekly meeting.
Finally, a few small-ish chores: make final adjustments to house bills, email CY about grad ticket, figure out PBK form, balance checkbook, take notes from lab meeting.
Today I need to continue working on my computer. I also want to clean my bicycle chain and put air in the tires - get it ready to ride. Plus I need to make a reservation to go out of town this coming week and call my dentist and some other things.
I'm fighting depression, which makes me want to just stay in bed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
Hi everyone. I haven't been feeling well lately, I think due to way too much coffee, and it's been backfiring on me. I'm going to try to cut down this weekend. Alot of stuff needs to be done around the home, and fortunately most are mini-tasks. There is one big work project and one lesser one which have to be done, so that'll work if I focus. I may have to write down a "don't do" list for today.
Today:
(X)morning routine
(X)spiritual time
(X)big work project
small work project
(X)an hour on outside of house
an hour inside house
(X)check in later
Good morning! I slept in this morning, as I've been feeling tired all week. First thing on the agenda is to make a list of all things I'd like to do on this long weekend and then decide what I will do today.
I know I want to exercise this morning at home, make a grocery list, and then get out of the house before I'm tempted to waste the day on the computer. Once out of the house, I want to visit Mom and Dad, go to the tanning bed, and maybe get a hair cut. And buy groceries of course. Have no idea what I'm making for dinner. Maybe I'll pull out the old standby, spaghetti.
I'll check in when I get home from errands. Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi all,
I'm real tired (physically) after an active day, and that makes it easy to veg out & procrastinate.
Instead I'm going to:
All stuff that doesn't take too much physical energy, so no excuses!
