Well, I was diligently working on my ops mgr when my coworker asked if he could take the system down for an hour - then I goofed off for half an hour and worked on a really low priority thing for a while. Getting back to my MITs NOW. I've been doing well lately but, boy howdy, it doesn't take much of a bump in the road to derail me! Back to work!

Ended up working with coworkers all afternoon trying to fix the system that was only supposed to be down for an hour :) But that's ok because I can't work on my MIT until it's fixed. We have some network issues I think.
I'm doing my 10 minutes on the tax thing before I leave the office, making some photocopies to include with the letter I have written. One MIT is left undone and will be postponed til tomorrow.
I'm not as happy with my productivity today as I have been for the past few days, because I let a bump in the road get me off track for over an hour. But, not horrible and certainly an improvement over where I was six months ago. So, live and learn.
I need to remember to stop on the way home for bananas! I ate my last banana today . . .

I am lying in bed today feeling yucky, but really I think I am just depressed. I have not bothered to get up yet, and I have the day ahead of me. Since the first thing I need is an attitude shift, I am going to open the windows, drink my water, and write a gratitude list.
today: i am grateful for: my colleague who was upset with me thanking me for posting online, explaining why he had been upset, and how he wanted to make sure I understood that he was not upset with me, but with backlash that came from other colleagues because of my actions. Note to self: when I was through with this conversation from him my food addiction went into full blown cravings for sweets! What is that all about?
I am grateful that my family ran with the ball yesterday when I could not and got the house in somewhat better shape.
I am grateful for: my sister, who wrote me a fabulously supportive letter
I am grateful for: some good friendships I am developing.
I am grateful for: this fellowship: the first thing I thought of that I wanted to do was to check in here today and read your posts.
for now: get up out of bed, assess what should be done first. Work in 15 minute shifts to get things accomplished.
update: 10 AM: have gotten out of bed. The lemon tree looks happy still, and has green stalks and little leaves coming to life all over it. Considering it was meant for the trash last week, I am very happy about that. The window is now open and I have got up and gotten some water and turned on CNN. There is lots of ironed laundry that I have begun to put away: plan of attack: deal with the worst thing in each room until I can clean.
musts: bathroom tub, floor, swish and wipe kitchen dishes, floor, counters, cook dinner verandas: sweep dust mop and dust straighten otherwise. I am curious to see how long this really will take me
Update: 11:30 well, it is taking me longer than I think it would if I got into the shower, got dressed to my shoes and went at it, but I am having a case of the don't wannas. I am going to give myself until noon to wallow and then I am going to get in the shower!
update: 11:32 pm well, there are two 6' 5'' children sleeping in my living room, on wrinkled sheets. Frankly, that is the least of their worries: I think they are sleeping with their feet off the beds!
The day turned out to be fairly productive: the house is vacuumed, dusted, bathrooms washed, the kitchen floor is washed, and all dishes are done. We made dinner, I got to my doctor's appointment, and all things considered it was a good day. Tomorrow I am back at work, and I just found out I have to make bag lunches for the enormous children, but I am going to plan what I am making now and then make it up in the morning.
I am still feeling like I am stuck in codependancy, so will go and find some al-anon stuff online to help me cope with that.
It will be a three day weekend here, and I would like to go away, but we will be going away in late April, so it feels a bit too .... extravagant. However, I hate to see the weekend go wasted.
