pro's last check-in - 10pm

I'm ready for bed - want to get to sleep early so I can get up early.

Good night! Thanks to my chat room pals who helped me all weekend!

pro's CI - 9pm

I'm sleepy (though it's only 9pm). I want to start getting ready for bed.

I'm disappointed with my progress today, although I did work on paperwork for two hours. I spent the time clearing space in my file cabinet so I could file stuff, and never actually made the pile itself smaller, so I feel bad about that.

There are other things I didn't get done either, but I didn't fool around today so I guess I did all that I was able to do.

If I go to sleep early, maybe I can get something done tomorrow before my dentist appt.

What I did today:

- Repotted orchid.
- Watered plants.
- Refilled humidifier.
- Made up bed.
- Grocery shopping.
- Cooking for week.
- Washed dishes.
- Cleared space in filing cabinet.

Hmm... Still doesn't seem like much.

pro's CI - 7:20pm (some progress)

I went through three files that were full of junk, threw out the junk, and now I have room in my filing cabinet to put away the stuff from my pile.

I'm tired, though. This took two hours. I'm not sure I can do much more tonight with the pile. I have to finish my list for the anti-procrastination coach and a book I'm reading for a friend.

Maybe I just need a break.

Journey 12:15 checkbook and chatbox

I can think of a couple of things that are more fun lol!  We're in the chatbox you guys, anyone who signs on come on in.

I bathed my dogs, and cleaned the big bathroom.  I'm taking a 15 minute world of warcraft break (I set a timer!), then getting started on dinner - need to make bacon for the salad, marinate the chicken,e tc.

chatbox paperwork

The chatbox was super helpful to me in doing paperwork yesterday. Elisaveth and MovingOn and I were all there. I'm in the chatbox now, but have to go to the grocery store now. I'll start on paperwork a little later.

pro's CI - 10am (also in chatbox)

I'm watering the plants. They're very tried out. I think I may need to water them more than once a week because they're near the radiators.

Falcon CI Sunday

Hi all,

Hope everyone's weekend is going well!

I'm not going to class today.  I'd love to go, but yesterday it just wiped me out (it's a martial arts class.)  Until I'm off the lexapro & the fatigue side effect goes away, I may have to just cut back on class for a while, otherwise I spend the afternoon tired & napping, and don't get anything done all day.  I have to taper off the stuff slowly to avoid withdrawal symptoms, so I'll see how it goes over the next few weeks.

To do next:

  • Get dressed & go for a walk
  • Balance checkbook (maybe I'll join the chatbox if y'all are still there!)
  • Go to bank
  • Post in the New Years Resolution thread on how my Groundhog Day Resolution is coming along, and the next habit I want to work on
  • Eat lunch
  • Shower, dress & get directions for concert

Sandwich maker's block

For pete's sake!  What is this mental block I have against making sandwiches?  It won't take that long, and I'll have lunches to take to work this week.

Just make the sandwiches already, self!

I'll check in here and note how long it actually takes.

Falcon

Sandwich check-in

Jeez, that took less than 15 minutes, and was painless.

So, self, next time will you just make the darn sandwiches, without all the fuss?

procrastinating on easy stuff

As I go through my pile, I find all kinds of things that took just a minute to do that I've put off for months. I think overestimating the amount of effort something will take is part of why we procrastinate. That's why keeping a time log for a while can help - you get a more realistic picture.

Lark @ 2:07am

Hi everyone--especially Elizaveth if you're still here. Can't sleep, so I'm watching a movie and sorting papers for a while. The weather is looking good for a couple days here, and I hope that'll help alot.
Today:
 morning things
 spiritual time
heat workshop (to dry wet floor)
 figure out client's bill
wrap parcel to be sent Monday
make out a schedule for this week's work
check in around breakfast

trouble sleeping

I had trouble sleeping last night, too. I drank some strong coffee late in the afternoon. Bad idea. I don't drink coffee every day anymore, so it really affects me.

e's happy sunday ci

What a difference a day makes! Yesterday three of us got together in the chatbox to work on that most dreadful of tasks, paperwork. Coming out of isolation to work on this took the dread out of the task: each of us made progress on our what was a huge stumbling block! So today, even though the checkin motto sounds like a cheesy political slogan, it reflects the power of numbers. We do not have to face our troubles alone. If you find that you must work on your taxes and it scares the bejesus out of you, sign into the chatbox and work alongside each other. This place ROCKS!

Today to do:
clean house for guests
wash pile of dishes
grocery shop
work on paperwork
drag husband out for fun
do paperwork in chatbox
