pro's last check-in

I took care of a bunch of housekeeping things tonight so I wouldn't be tempted to do them in the morning (making me late for work). I did this:

- Rinsed handwashing.
- Watered plants.
- Washed dishes.
- Brushed teeth.

I'm late getting to bed - must go to sleep or I'll get up late.

Nan - post subject suggestion

Nan - you might want to put something more descriptive in the subject line of your posts so you can tell yours apart from other people's. At least put your username in the subject line. I like to also put the time of the check-in - I find that useful.

pro's CI - 9:30am

I'm out of the shower but not dressed. I've wasted some time online. I think that's a major time sink in the morning for me.

CI for Lark @ 9:15

Good morning everyone. Lots of things going on here today, so I'm trying to do errands all at once, while paint is drying here, etc. Efficiency has never been one of my things. Seems things go wrong more, the more I try to be efficient. But, I'm gonna try.
Today:
 morning things
 spiritual time
call client (decided to wait till today to do business)
 go to bank
 pay bill
work on kitchen table pile for five minutes
 visit sick relative
 see about tires at garage
 start on work project A
work one hour on work project B
 check back in here

3:00 CI for Lark Craving to procrastinate

Hi everyone again. I'm moving in the right direction, but slowly. I really have the "craving" to procrastinate, but I'm holding it off so far.

have a great day, lark!

craving to procrastinate

How did you do today, Lark?

I finally left for work at 10am, and stayed until 7:45pm. Too late! I want to get there earlier so I can leave earlier. Today was later than I needed to be there - had to finish something.

Tomorrow morning I'm doing something from home before I go in. My boss wants it done early, and that's most likely to happen if I do it from home.

I did okay Pro

Today didn't go as I'd originally planned, but after re-grouping a couple of times, and working a bit in my workshop tonight, I'm pleased.  The pile on the table is still there, but a few minutes before bed will  work--progress, not perfection!  Thanks, and take care.

pro's CI - 9:10am

The breakfast dishes are washed, lunch is packed, and I finished exercising. Now all I have to do is shower and dress, so maybe I'll leave around 9:30am - an hour late. That's not great, but it's better than 2 hours late. Maybe I didn't estimate times correctly in my backcounting, and getting up at 7:30am is okay. Seems I only need 30 minutes after eating before exercise.

pro's CI - 7:55am

I'm eating breakfast, but I realize I'm already late. To get to work on time I'd have to leave in 40 minutes. That's pretty tight - considering I'm not dressed, and I need to rinse the stained whites soaking in bleach. Clearly I'm not going to be watering plants before work (I was thinking of doing this).

I should figure out what time I need to start getting dressed to get to work on time.

back counting

I figured it out by making a morning to-do list with times for each task, and I need a minimum of one hour and 40 minutes (best rounded to two hours) to get ready for work in the morning. This includes making and eating breakfast, washing breakfast dishes, and packing a lunch. It doesn't include the housekeeping I often do in the morning.

If I have to leave at 8:30am to get to work by 9am, this means I should be getting up at 6:30am. In fact I did get up at 6:30am this morning, but I did housework for an hour, so it's like I got up at 7:30am.

I'm going to be late again - I'm certainly not leaving in 15 minutes. But hopefully I won't be as late.

morning exercise

Oh - and this doesn't include morning exercise, which I forgot. So I can add 20 minutes.

But there's a problem with morning exercise on days I need to leave early. I don't like exercising before breakfast, I can't exercise immediately after eating breakfast, and the thing I need to do besides eat breakfast (shower and dress) is not something I want to do before exercising.

Since I have to wait at least 30 minutes after eating to exercise (an hour is better), I can add that on to when I need to get up. Yuck - I'm not getting up at 5-5:30am. Not sure what to do.

pro's CI - 7:40am

I'm trying to keep my eye on the clock this morning and be very conscious of the time. I washed the dishes this morning since I didn't do it last night, and rinsed the drip dry since I didn't do that last night, either. I'd probably have an easier time in the morning if I didn't save housework for mornings when I'm supposed to be getting ready for work.

I (stupidly) washed colors and whites together and stained all the whites with dye from the colors. So now the whites are soaking in a bleach solution. I need to eat breakfast now.

pro's first check-in - 6:50am

I got up at 6:30am so I've been up for 20 minutes. Part of what I've been doing for the last 20 minutes is catching a spammer in the act, banning him, and deleting his garbage. This person registered before approval was required, but I may not have caught him anyway. Well, he didn't succeed. I deleted the crap within minutes of him posting it, and no one saw it but me.

I really (no kidding) want to get to work at a reasonable hour today.
