Grades

I'm going to start working on posting my grades, which are due tomorrow morning by 8 a.m.

pro's CI - 11:20am

I went through the pile and I did find a couple of urgent things that had to happen today or never. I'm now disastrously late for work. I have to get out of here - especially since I need to stop off along the way.

Morning Simplification

Hey, Pro :-) If it's any help, I used to have the same problem with getting to work on time. I think if you postpone the bulk of the tasks you complete or handle in the morning till after you come back from work, you'll find that you'll be able to concentrate on simply getting ready and out of the door on time. It's a bit of a challenge, though, because you'd have to stop yourself from "finishing small things" while you wait for the time to pass. Said small things can drag on for much longer than you first intend, and then you'd feel obligated to finish them off before you leave, which will only take you back to square one. It's best to simplify your morning routine, trust me.

Julie's 9:30 CI--I keep forgetting to include this!

I've had long lists over the last few days and have been only partially successful in getting things done, so I think I will simplify today. I will check back in this afternoon from work.

For this morning:

To Do:
Morning routine
Pick up kitchen
Make list for rest of day
Gather supplies needed for work
Leave for work by 11:30

Completed:
Email MH-difficult, but completed (:
Walk Zoe

pro's CI - 9:50am

I've been doing stuff, though arguably not the most urgent stuff. Here's what happened:

I wanted to exercise this morning (for a change), so I had to fold my bed up into a couch (otherwise there's no room on the floor to lie down - my apartment is very small). I stripped the sheets off the bed because they're dirty anyway and I need to wash them. This brought up the issue of the pillows. I have two pillows that I don't like - have never liked. And one that I love that has no mate - but I inherited it, so I don't know where it was purchased. I tracked that down this morning and ordered the mate so I can get rid of the other two pillows - satisfying, but not high priority.

I also washed the dishes and vacuumed.

I'm not dressed yet and it's nearly 10am on a work day - sense a problem here?

what do to next...

I think - although it's 10am - that I will quickly go thorugh my pile to look for urgent things - in particular I need to find a reference to a doctor something gave me because I have to call for an appointment today. I can't believe how late it is - and I got up at 6:15am. I have to make this fast.

What have I been doing all morning??

First Check In for Lark

Good morning everyone. I just didn't feel like posting this morning, but that's when I need to post. If I finish the small project this morning, I'll be able to do the next, bigger project easier, but I have a rather chronic compulsion to start new things before finishing old ones. I really need to work on that. Does anyone else do this, and how do you handle it?
Today;
 morning routine
 spiritual time
 finish small project
 go to bank
 pay phone bill on line
 visit sick relative
make a work schedule for this week

pro's CI - 6:40am

Good morning, everyone! I was dreadfully bad yesterday, but Edge's good morning message says "don't worry, be happy" so I think I will. :)

I got up early this morning (6:15am) so I'll have time to do some of the things I didn't do yesterday. What got me this weekend (and last weekend) was that I was reading a book that I can't put down.

Something amusing I've noticed on amazon.com... You know the section: "People who bought this book ended up buying..."? Usually the books are related to the one you are looking at - often by the same author. Lately, for every single book I look at, one of the books is "Harry Potter #7". That's how many copies that book has sold!!

Edge's Closing CI

*Grimace* Well, as can be clearly seen from my to-do list here, I didn't finish much of anything. Stayed back late at work and when I came home I ate, felt sick, sat with my laptop and wasted roughly around 6 hours (stayed up till 3:30am) watching movies and chatting to friends. Lame. But there you go, what can you do? Today is my off day though, so I'll be remedying that :-)
