Pro, did you see Folding Bike on Today Show?

Hi Pro!

I think you said you may use your current bike until it is completely worn out before getting a new one.

This morning on Today, they showed various types of alternate transport. One of them was a Folding Bike. Overall, I don't know how comfortable it would be compared to a regular bike, but it was interesting to me to find out they make those.

In Google Images, I typed in Folding Bike, and it brought up pictures of a lot of different ones. Maybe by the time you are ready to Buy Again, they will have a model that you would like :)

(off topic :) Kromer, which Harambee do you go to? :)

Hi Kromer!

The other day I saw you said you were going to a Harambee. Which one do you go to?

Where I work we have a Freedom School, so they have a Harambee for the children every morning. (I don't get to go, because they have it while I am at work in another building).

Do you like to sing? :)

When you're a procrastinator, you know how poignant the passage of time can be. Listen and relive the ups and downs of regret and hope! Thrill to the sounds of variations on "tick tock"! This soundtrack will help get you through yet another day of the pretty much the same thing all over again.

Recycler's home computer CPU not working (msg)

Hi!

Yikes, my home computer's CPU died yesterday (5/7)!

My computer-savvy friend is trying to help me fix it, find work-arounds, etc.

Today I will be checking-in from work, but some days are busy and I might not always get to do that.Plus, also for this month, I was going to be away for a number of days anyway.

At work, I have various lists, procedures, & interactions to keep me going. It's at home where I procrastinate and need PA!

Estimates for being on-line at home, range from this Sunday night to the end of May.

I'll be around when I can! Hugs! :)

Newsletters

Hi guys,

Has anyone here ever created an e-newsletter or has any knowledge of how to send them? I have software that creates newsletters (Art Explosion Publisher Pro Silver), but I have no idea how to upload them into email format so I can send them.

Help?

seeing if I can post a pic ;)

Hi!

I'm just seeing if I can post a pic :)

Looks like it did it ;)

clement, FYI

Clement,
Just an "F.Y.I."

I have noticed that lately, for some reason, whenever you've been trying to link to a specific P.A. thread, I've tried going there -- but when I click on it, clicking just goes to the main P.A .website, and not to the particular thread that you intended.

Maybe it would be simpler if you just typed the URL of the thread directly into the message? That may or may not become a "clickable" link, but at least people could copy and paste it into browser to find the thread you intend them to find.

I am not a technical expert.  I don't know how to explain the procedures.  Just letting you know, so that you are aware.  Maybe somebody else can explain how to post clickable links.

Glad you are a member here, you contribute lots of insights and support.

Hugs,

Snoopy's to-do lists

[I am posting this in the off-topic forum, because ... well it really isn't directly related to P.A.'s primary purpose of finding ways to overcome our own procrastination.

This is just something fun to imagine/ponder -- hopefully briefly so that we don't use it as a distraction! ]

I was looking over some of the thread-starters for the check-in/bookending forum.

I am wondering how Snoopy is doing with his to-do lists. (the following is taken from the thread-starters of the dates mentioned)

Macbook Air

What do you all think of it? I'm an avid fan of Apple and Macs - I've got a Macbook and an iMac and I love them both. I'm always encouraging people to switch.

I like the new Macbook Air, but I still prefer the Macbook for overall design and performance.

What do y'all think?

Video Game for Procrastinators

http://www.travian.us/

If you're hooked on video games like me, here's a great one!

This is a free game, something like Civilization if you've ever see that one.  You start out with an empty village and build it up by adding resources and villagers and buildings.  I think eventually you expand to other villages but I haven't gotten that far yet.

Anyway,
you give your villagers the task of creating a wheat field, or building a building, etc.  Then you can't do anything else in the game until they finish the task.  My villagers are currently upgrading the granary and that will take 35 minutes.  So, it forces me to go do something else until they finish.  Of course, I could always switch to another video game but hopefully I will fold some laundry or something constructive instead!

Playlists

Edge and Elisaveth had a great suggestion!

My office is noisy so I keep my mp3 player nearby and listen to music when I need to concentrate.  Here is some music that I find motivating.  What do you guys listen to?

Warning: a few of these lyrics are fairly explicit.  I might be a grandmother but I still rock.

Journey's Playlist

Ride On - ACDC
Bang on the Drum - Todd Rundgren
Barbara Ann  - Beach Boys
Alfie  - Lily Allen
You Know I'm No Good - Amy Winehouse
I Wanna Be Sedated - The Ramones
Blitzkreig Bop - The Ramones

Birthday

How do I get it to not say a birthday? If there's no way, I'll keep changing it.

36 years later, he finally finished PhD

You may have seen this in the news.  I know several members here are working on their dissertations.

After 36 years, someone finally finished his PhD in Astronomy.

(He got distracted by being the guitarist for the rock band "Queen").

It's never too late to finish!   But hopefully it won't take us all this long.

Something lighthearted.

Threads In The Wrong Category?

I just noticed that some of the book-ending threads were in the Announcements secion. Hadn't noticed till now. Mix up?

LiveEarth concert

I'm going to the LiveEarth concert tomorrow in New York (well, actually in New Jersey at Giants Stadium). I got free tickets through my job. Is anyone else here planning to go to one of the LiveEarth concerts?

My seats are so far away I'll need binoculars, but it still should be fun. :D

Has anyone heard anything from Rexroth?

Rexroth has always been very good at posting on this group. I know he was going to visit someone, but don't recall who or when. It's always been a nice feeling to read his early posts when I log on here. I hope he's well.

Thank you to "ZT"

I just wanted to thank the member here who replied to my post a few days ago on "Wing of Madness."  It was very thoughtful of you to take time to give us the info and encouragement.  I am "TheMeanReds" on WoM by the way.  This site looks very informative and supportive.  It's good to know that others share this problem.  Thanks again.
